auzdawg if you're still interested...get off at Highway 53 (exit 129) turn right, follow that to 985 south. That will reconnect you to 85 south of SR 20

Is it just me, or does it seem like lately (say for the past 2 or 3 weeks) there is a major tractor trailor accident in the metro atlanta area every day or every other day???
Just like I told the person yesterday that said about the same thing! I have been driving tractor trailors for 2 years (the only female with my company) on metro atlanta roads 5 days a week.. NO ACCIDENTS My grandfather just retired from driving tractor trailors he dont it for 39 years with 1 accident that was NOT his fault. So what there is one accident involving tractor trails a day.. lets think of how many 4 wheeled autos have acidents in ATL everyday.. probably MANY hundreds to the 1 tractor trailor that wreck that made the news..

I am sorry if this went too far but I am tired of everyone trying to blame the TT drivers for these accident..

All of you critisize the guy in the pickup truck for crossing the median but did you ever think that if might not have been intensionally. It could have been on purpose or the possiblility that he fell asleep at the wheel or had a heart attack. Don't judge until the facts are revealed inacent until proven guiltly.

TruckinErr - sorry to disagree. I don't know how many times in ATL I'm tailgated by a trucker going 70 mph...The difference is when a car wrecks it doesn't shut down the interstate....

every1's a critic--unless you were the driver of either vehicle you have no earthly idea WHAT ACTUALLY happened; only thing established according to the media is that the pick-up came over into the other lane--the ATL is what is it as far as traffic--I don't know why every1 gets so excited when an interstate is shut down due to an accident....we ALL know that at least 75% of folks on the road are NOT GOOD drivers--stop making a big deal out of an almost everyday occurrence--watch YOUR own driving

just sat in that mess for 1.5 hours going to lawrenceville for business.. and then 2.5 hours coming back to braselton.. it was a definate mess on 124, where all of the northbound traffic was routed.. the DOT needs to seriously reconfigure N-85 from the 985 split to like commerce.. because its a dangerous system with no guardrails or walls separating the opposing lanes. Also, WIDEN 124 you idiots!! 4 hours of my life wasted sitting in traffic.:)

media should be less concerned with the traffic and more with the person. no one even bothered to show any remorse in these articles, even though my friend just died !! he was only 16 for christs sake! show some remorse

And the media always knows exactly what's going on....? I don't think so.

I was headed home from Suwanee...and it took me 5 1/2 hours to get home! Luckily (I guess)the Hamilton Mill exit was the exit I needed. I feel bad for the drivers involved. I feel bad for all the people who got stuck in traffic too
