Hi, i am currently on deciding on moving to GA from Mich. I am a 24 y/o widow with 2 small children, and currently work as a med assistant in an ob/gyn office.. i have been actively looking for houses for sale in/around Lawrenceville, Can someone tell me how the job market in my field is.. how the cost of living is down there, along with the public school system? Im sure it is a lot better than living up here.. and just would like to have additional information.. Thanks!

Job market opening up a little around here and we have numerous hospitals and doctors offices here so you may do well. Houses are much cheaper than in recent years, some of the schools are wonderful and some you would not want your children attending. we have many cultures here and horrible traffic but on the upside we are 45 minutes from the mountains and six hours from the gulf of mexico so it is great! Light winters, long hot summers....cost of living is pretty good. Gas and groceries cheaper than national average. Just a warning though, gwinnett county is not very helpful with single mothers if you need assistance. I was a single mother at one time, and I made it on my own with no family here and I survived just fine! I hve been here almost 15 years and absolutely love it and will probably never leave.
