i agree & the courts will agree.his brain, unlike some pious, self righteous (one of which should know better) people, was unable to fully comprehend the results of his actions.

We always seem to find a reason to give others as an excuse for our antics.
He was evaluated to be able to function in society. He then knew the basics to function morally. Murder is a violation of all these. Therefore with all these evaluations the checks and balances that were already done on this person it should be a slam dunk and the charges to stick..
But we are a political with everyone doing as they please he will walk and get a pat on the head for the mean ole people harassing him.. Bleeding hearts Kill me!!

He doesn't do drugs. This is a child that is mentally handicapped and was adopted at 13 years old by a very good family. No details about what happened are listed. He has the mental ability of an 8 year old.God bless both families. This is a tragedy. WHere was the supervision?
They are not that good of a family or they would still be taking care of him??

WHo is responsibile? Does it matter? Why was he there? I just want everyone to know that your kids in public school are exposed to these types of challenges everyday. Aaron was a student at Randleman High School and had to have an escort everywhere he went on campus. I understand his mental challenges because I worked with him and he did know right from wrong. He was extremely medicated and was low functioning, but demonstrated to understand right from wrong. People you have these kids all around you in public schools. I am not saying they shouldn't be given an opportunity, but they cannot have the same opportunity in an enviroment that others perform well ahead of them. So get involved!

Wait! What exactly are you trying to say? I don't want to jump the gun and make an assumption when I could be off base. Please tell me you don't mean that special needs children do not belong in public schools! If you did not mean that, then please explain what you did mean. If you did mean that, what makes you think so? Children with special needs SHOULD get the same opportunities as everyone else! Or do you think we should go back to institutionalizing them like we did back in the day?

Michael was a great guy! I can't even imagine how this happened or why he was no longer living with his family. When I knew him,he had a great worker and was well cared for by his family! Michael was very sweet, caring and would do anything for you! He loved with his whole heart, and was very happy and full of energy! He interacted great with all the other clients, and was a big help to the lower functioning clients! Michael will be greatly missed!! We all love you very much Michael!
Just wanted to respond to comment about Michaels family, his dad died last year from cancer. Another burden he was having to deal with along with his condition.

I had known Aaron for most of my life. I pushed him around a lot and he never did anything. He is not the type of person to do something like this. Don't put the blame on him when you don't know what truly happened.

I don't really know a lot about this situation, but I am disabled (physically) and i know that my room mate is trying to kill me. He steals all my social security disability money - not even leaving me enough to buy the medications I need. He keeps me closed up in the house so I can't just leave and no one believes me because he acts so "nice and sane". He's a crazy thief who has stolen my foodstamps( not allowing me to eat the food he buys "for him" with them - only allowing me to eat unhealthy crap that is killing me.)
I used to have a car..but he stole money that belonged to me and bought himself a new car...then got rid of mine. I've been to counselling.( so has he...he lied)..and tried for 7 years to escape. Unless I leave in the middle of the night with nothing but the clothes on my back..( and won't get far because I can't walk very far).. i am trapped here. I have considered taking his life..so I can be free. But is he worth throwing the rest of my life away? Then...what life??? locked up in here.
