First our 'screwels' teach character, something only parents should be responsible for, and now they are trying to push this crap on the kids. Just teach kids math, writing, etc.

I like this idea. There are a lot of homes in which the parents do not eat veggies, therefore, the children to do not eat them or get the chance to try them. If it opens some children up to eating them, they in turn may be able to get the parents to as well.
On the flip side, depending on the age of students being targeted (the article was lacking in details there), a lot of this may just go into the garbage!
