Good job. We should have checkpoints like this more often in the Triad. 4 hours and 125 violations? That is more than one violation every 2 minutes. The city should raise more money this way instead of increasing our taxes. Let's make Greensboro safer and let the criminals have the cost burdens instead of those of us who are abiding the law.

Whoa "triadtrue," The individuals who got the following citations: Vehicle Inspection Violations: 19 Registration Violations: 20... you're calling them criminals? Thats sort of ignorant.

I am 100% in favor of having more of these checkpoints.

Vehicle inspection violations are still considered crimes. Thank goodness the fines are affordable. :) So yes, I'm a criminal too. You get my point, silly.

Unpublished was the number of those who had license plate frames STILL attached. These Godless heathens were shot at the scene. The next of kin, if notified, can claim the bodies by the side of the road.

Their personal belongings and/or theor vehicles will be auctioned off to fund the NC Education Lottery.

Anyone driving between 1:00 & 3:00 AM on a weekend should have already learned to have their blood, car contents, and paperwork in order.

this is great, these check points should be done more frequently in all counties because it is not fair that because of these people who decide to break the law an innocent person can get hurt by having an accident with one of these people who are drinking. there license should be revoked period.
great job

I support the booze it champaine its a great way to get the drunk drivers before they kill innocent people but I also think that doing it a couple times a year is like only taking a bath once a month it helps for a day or so but after that you just start stinking agian in my opinion there should be a division set up for only this purpose and they should have check points at least 4 day/ nights a week all over NC

JOB WELL DONE!!!!! There needs to be more of this so drunk idots and people who have no license, no inspection, and certainly scum buckets with drugs or under the influence of drugs are taken off the highways....PERMANENTLY!!!! Us law abiding citizens do not need to have to worry every time we leave our homes if we will get hit and possibly killed by the scum buckets. Our innocent kids certainly do not need to be killed or mamed either!!!

I support this 110%! We NEED more of these stops regularly. Its pretty sad that there are so many people who get behind the wheel after drinking. I dont see why people do it...what gives them the thrill of knowing they can and may kill another person due to their lack of responsibility. It's pathetic and they deserve to be thrown in jail!

I stopped at your post so forgive me if anyone else commented about this. The part in your statement where you said "there license should be revoked period." Did you happen to miss the part where they said that they caught 19 people DRIVING with their license revoked? What do you think that because they revoke it that these people will STOP driving? Get real. They issued 1 MORE DWLR ticket then they did for DWI. Go figure.

I wish there were more checkpoints such as this instead of issuing citations for license plate brackets. Sometimes they get it right and sometimes they get it wrong. This time they got it right.

I agree wholeheartedly! This would be an excellent source of revenue. This just goes to show that we have too many drunk drivers in Guilford County. I hope that law enforcement officials plan to him more drunks where it hurts--their wallets.

a drunk driver never learns, they are almost always repeat offenders, and yes they must come to "criminal court" so they're laywer can say "your honor, my client made a mistake" ... i've seen this hundreds of times and so has all LEO's, people are willing to take that risk.
