I agree... let Walter State build whatever they want. Our town has proven to NOT make the best of its downtown and maybe having Walter State grow it will help the whole downtown area. Seems to me our town leaders should be kissing Walter States A$$.

Also I have heard Roby center is going with Walter State but who really knows?

the town leaders already kiss wscc. how much more kissing do you think WSCC requires. maybe walters state should tear down Town Hall and put up an entrepreneur center. or tear down the election commission-red cross building and put up an organizational management center. or tear down the library and build a police academy center and pedestrian mall. the cops, after taking courses in organizational management and with additional in house advice from the entrpreneur center, could sell bottled water from the Big Spring and call it the fountain of devil youth water. all funds would go for new uniforms for the wreck dept.

I think Walter State is our towns last hope to help the downtown area. If you have a better plan then how come we have not seen it in action.

Walters State's plan would be a hell of a lot better if it allowed the house to continue its existence. Walters State has acres of asphalt to work with, Walters State does not need to destroy a house built during the Civil War, unless of course the architect and developer want to. And what the architect and developer want (tributes to their egos) is more important than anything.

Tear the rat hotel down! The past is the past, and it has no historical value. Take pictures wright a book and stick it in the libary. Then those that want to remember it can check it out and take a walk back in time thru the book.
