Very sad, my thoughts and prayers are with his family. I knew Greg a little through work and he was a very nice person and this news shocks and saddens me.

Hopefully this story will help people with depression, as a person who has witnessed what depression can do to a person firsthand but whos ending was not as tragic. Most people are either ashamed to admit or think that they can resolve it themselves, There is nothing wrong with seeing a doctor or other professional for help, it does not make you anyless a person.

What depression can do to a family is tear a family apart. When a person who is depressed is a parent the effects on a child can be terrible.

I am very VERY saddened by this.

I grew up just a few houses away from Greg. I still remember the time he and Steve Mays and some other neighbor threw dirt clods at me as I rode my bike past their house.

But he never turned into a full-fledged bully. When we were a little older, we played touch football and "smear-the-queer" a few times. But we never were close. He was a grade higher than me in school.

Years later, I came across his older brother Eric, working at GM. He told me what happened with Greg, but I forget the details. But it made me really appreciate the old days of dirt clods and touch football.

Eric said that Greg was much nicer, and probably wouldn't remember throwing the dirt clods.

When I heard that he had gone missing, I just had a very bad feeling. I hadn't heard, until today, that they had found him. I am sad for his family's loss.
