Smith: Widow catches thieves, credits her Ford
“We routinely discourage victims from following suspect vehicles.”
Susie Johnson's big adventure last Thursday makes a good story -- and it would make an even better commercial for Ford trucks. via Wisconsin State Journal

"Police told her to stop, but Johnson was 'mad that people who don 't work rob other people who are out working.' "
From the Wisconsin Motorist's Handbook:
The most dangerous "drugs" on the highway?
Once Ms. Johnson has a licence plate number, and a description of the occupants of the Chevy S-10, the correct thing to do is follow the advice of the police and STOP. If more people drove with the level of safety that I am suggesting, perhaps the crash that killed Susie's husband could have been avoided.
"They could show the feisty young widow in hot pursuit in her Ford F250."
Every one of those Ford commercials with the twisty-turny driving has a little caption at the bottom that reads: "Professional Driver, Closed Course" Susie is not a professional driver, and I am certain she was not on a closed course. Please, have some respect for the other folks who are using the road. One of those people might be a pregnant woman's husband, and heaven knows, her unborn child would be a whole lot happier if daddy survives his road trip.
