Thoughts Along the WK

There are 8 comments on the Grayson News Gazette story from May 3, 2011, titled Thoughts Along the WK. In it, Grayson News Gazette reports that:

I joined the Grayson County Rotary Club for a reason. I wanted to help people. Some of the things Rotary is most known for are they host a radio auction for three consecutive nights once a year, the club sponsors the Kentucky's Official Fiddlers Contest each year and is also a major presence at the Halloween Safe Spot and the Grayson County Fair.

I have complained about this for years. Missy and Teresa both use the opinion section of the paper as their own personal column to share their random thoughts about the most ridiculous things in the world. There has not been a meaningful opinion piece written in the News Gazette for years. If they want to write this stuff, put it in another section of the paper. On the other hand, I would commend Deanna Lasley for some of her editorial pieces in The Record of late. I think she is really trying to make a difference.

Drew, you are not qualified to work at the Gag-at. That's my personal name for the Gazette. Back to what I was saying, you're not qualified to work there because you can spell. Or you can at least operate a spell checker. I remember a story a few years ago in which Anneta was spelled 6 different ways. That and the ridiculous "One Man's Opinion" column made me cancel my subscription.

Oooo I adore a good misspelled article. Always good for some laughs. I really enjoy the misspelled signs down here and poor use of grammar. I like to take pics of the good ones. Like that one place in hardinsburg called "too good to be threw" it has an image of some jacks$$ playing golf but it's supposedly a consignment shop?????? Wtf??? The word "threw" just kills me. I laugh so hard.

One stupid sign I LOVE is the one between Leitchfield and Clarkson for the "hair and exhaust connection" or some similar bullish*t that's an awesome idea for a business! Get your hair done while getting your muffler fixed!
I want to open a shop where you can get a colonic while you do laundry. I would call it "Drew's sh!t and spin"
