I have a weather radio. But, that last storm caught us by surprise. We didn't have it on because there was no watches or warnings when we went to bed. Some of these storms are unpredictable.

So leave the weather radio on, that is how they are designed to be used. The "one call" system was a waste of money from day one, and has never worked fast enough to be useful for any notification where speed and time are important. It is time to admit that it was a mistake, quit throwing good money after bad and shut it off.
