Hmmmmm, something fishy about this. I remember seeing them as an impressionable youth, closely affiliated with various religious groups, corporate interests, and right-wingers of various stripes.

And, thus, I wandered off to refresh my memory. Ah yes, those were indeed the days:

I suspect little has changed. Get on Netflix and request "Smile Till It Hurts," an expose on this outfit.

Sure, its good to provide our kids with positive messages. Guess where that best comes from: parents! It begs credulity for the Town to subsidize this little agenda-laden extravaganza...

I can assure you that Up with People is a non-religious, non-political group, as I was a recent cast member AND a New Mexican. I am certainly neither religion or politics motivated.

"Smile Til it Hurts" was made by a disgruntled former cast member's wife. She lied to Up with People in order to get her footage.

The only agenda Up with People intends to push, is to come together as a community to do good for one another. Cynics need not attend.
