As a former student and resident of graham county
I understand why Coach Boley didn't make it in the
school system. He is an outsider. Those people are afraid of any body who moves into the county. They act as though new residents are a threat to them. These people want NO change there.
Growing up there was enough for me. There was no way in the world I would have raised my kids in that culture. It is sad to see how
these people respond to things that would help make the place better for the kids and the school. Not to mention the community.
Teachers from other states could be an aset to the community and the children.
So he wasn't liked because he didn't talk to the teachers. Huh???? Maybe he wasn't a flirt...
Glad I left there when I graduated many years ago.

oh, i dont think not being a flirt was his problem. you have no idea how funny that remark is. i did not know coach boley personaly, thought he would probably be a good coach. had no problem with him being a so called outsider. you must have been gone many, many years. you seem to have a grudge against the people in rville. you really should not lump us all in one opinion. there are some good and bad people here, just like there are in marietta,ga.

As a former employee of Graham Co. School System, I know a lot that goes on in the school. Mr. Boley is not an angel. You should know some of the things that he did. I am not trying to start scandle or misrepresent him, but he did some horrible things. A senior student caught him and another school employee doing a .... job behind his desk. This is fact not fiction. And he cannot leave this employee alone. There are several things that he has done, and the school board is aware of it, that is why they got rid of him. Mr. Boley had a morning class and and evening class (that's all) and he would never show up for them. This is fact not fiction. I could tell a lot more, but I won't. I just wanted you to know that there were reasons why he was let go. He would tell the football team 2 weeks ahead of time when they were going to be drug tested, then told them even if they did fail, it would be taken care of. None of the other teams at RHS was treated this way. Ask the team, they will tell you the same thing.
A little help here

It is funny how you people believe all the rumors.
First of all the skank was not an employee of the school.
Second if they were "caught" by a student dont you think he would have been fired? Who was the student anyway?
Second if he never taught his classes who did?
She got fired because she was overbilling the co she worked for. And was texting him all the time when she was supposed to be working with handicaped students.
She has a bad life with a druggie husband, and is desperatly trying to latch on to someone to get her out of her life of poverty.
THAT IS FACT
I suggest befor you point your finger, you find out the REAL facts befor you post them.

No I still visit, I know what the majoriety of the folks in Robbinsville are like,
and so do others who still live there I have no grudge about those people I just know how they feel about new people who move in from other places.
Believe me I know there are some winners in Marietta too.
I am not lumping you in, maybe you don't feel like the most of these people I am talking about.
I am not trying to offend anyone.I know some folks who feel the same way I feel, who live there. they have told me things of this nature.
About the remark of being a flirt. Glad it was funny to you. I have heard this comment made
more thimes than once.

I did know Coach Boley personally. I talked just the other day and he told me the real story. Im not going to post it over the web because i think the damage is done and we should leave it alone. But i do think the school board's decision in the matter was BS and Boley should get another chance. This was the Black Knight's chance to be state champs again but NO the freakin school board gets all mad over one mistake made by the man. The former coach,Lionel Wilson, damn sold meth for crying out loud. Thats bad,not a little foolin around. I also agree strongly with unbeiveable about how Robbinsville people dont like new people or ideas. The school board screwed the Black Knight team over. Long live Boley!!!!!!!!!

AMEN. Was the other person fired, or were they a
relative or friend to the right person? Ha Ha.
This is the same BS that goes on all the time. Such a sad situation. God bless the students.

This is not good. I wonder did the school board do a background check to see if he was involved at another school. I know sometimes it's hard to find out everything, but it's getting very hard to find people who has a clean slate. It's bad for the school and the community. For a teacher to act like this and not respect his character and above all the children is a bad rap. Maybe he has learned a lesson, I sure hope so. When something like this happens I think the person should be fired on the spot. No tollerence policy might be a better way.seems Robbinsville has had it's share of teacher problems for the past few yars.
I wish them well.

check out the topix for Robbinsville about a lady looking for a town in north carolina to move to from Illinois, and read what the residents from N.C. tell her. It's a North Carolina (Thang.).as they would say. Unbelieveable, is so right about how the people respond.Learning seem to be a big problem there. Way to go Unbelievable...We learned young and made a better choice. Good people are all over the world, but sometines the question could apply, what are they good for??????????

i had read that response and like you i think it was very rude to reply to the lady in that manner. i dont know if they were from rville or not, but that is not the feelings of the majority of people that live there, once again i ask not to be included with people that have nasty attitudes. you are from rville, is that the way you feel about people from other states?

i have read that reponse

I know some ggod people from Robbinsville, and other states, I have not just lived in N.C. and Georgia.I have lived in Ohio, Illinois, also
I agree with you there are good and bad people everywhere, I was not calling those people Bad, I did not include you. I have brothers and sisters in Robbinsville, Ga, Chicago, Ill. In-laws and
good friends, I visit Graham county often, I am not dumb as to what the majoriety of the people there are like. You must know only a few. I am not alone in the opinion. Robbinsville is ver rural, this is their way, I don't like small towns, and thats why I left there it ewas my choice. this is a free country one can live where he so chooses. and opinions are also free. and
this is mine.Good people can backward and country
or anything else they want to be.
Threr is a big chance that you are related to me or my husband's family.
I know about 90 percent of those Graham County citizens,
There is one grocery store there and 2 dollar stores. We had more than that when I was in school.
I have relatives and friends who are teachers in Robbinsville, and have been for years, I could really tell you some things about what goes one , but not on here. I am not talkin about you.
I know when I left there and I know a lot more who left and feel sthe same way I feel.
There is only approxiametaly 8,000. people in Graham County about 798. in the town of Robbinsville. If this is how they want ot live , ok with me. But I hve the right to my opinion.
Evidentally, you don't know the majority of the people. They complain about the people from Florida buying all of the land there and taking over Thunderdbird Mt Resortan have for years.
I know all those people who workat and own Fontana
Villaged, My dad and 3 uncles held build the Dam
and My father in law worked for Alcoa, and so do my brother in laws. I dare say I know as many or more of the majority as you do. I am there quite often to visit my family.
The way Bob Doyle was treated over the past two years about the July 4th Festival, after he worked
so hard to get it going, and the appreciation that was shown him, should be enough for anyone to see.
If you don't feel like this then why are you so worried about being included.
I have been told my many in robbinsville, the new resident from other places were trying to run the place, and was ruining it.

Have you read any blogs from the people around asheville abou tthe people from Califorina and
New York etc, moving to asheville and retiring?
They feel the same way, They are told not to come
in their town and ruin it buliding and changing
things, they are calling those people names and just as rude as the person inquiring about N.c
from Ill. This a free county and people can and
should be able to live anywhere they so choose.
and that's my opinion.and How any one feels
about Robbinsville or any other place is their
business and their God given Right. I did not say
the people in Graham County have a nasty attitude.
you said that. I know people from Franklin and Sylvia too.

The school board doing a check???? That is a joke, when one of the board members is in his 50's married and shacking up with a 17 year old!
Someone should have checked the school board members before they were elected.
How can 2 of the board members sit on the board when they didn't graduate from high school????
It is a shame.
As for Boley, I know he is a good coach, as hard as he has worked with the football team and the progress they have made I hope that the new coach
can keep it going.
Robbinsville should make it to the playoffs again and with the talent they have should do better than last year.
Go Knights!!!

Well I don't know the whole story and I am not even gonna try and piece it together there are only 2 people who know the truth. Having graduated last year I can attest to the fact that the school and the county DO NOT accept outside intrusions. The man may have been doing some of the things stated here or may not have but one thing is for certain I have talked to many teachers and the lady in this event was punished long before Boley was and they all stated he was told to resign or they would fire him.
