"We found him in the front bedroom lying partially on the bed near the rifle, which was a fully loaded Winchester .300 Magnum hunting rifle," Doering said. "One bullet from that rifle would have gone straight through two of my officers each wearing bulletproof vests."

I thought police were impervious to Elmer Fudd guns?
