Why were these two "pitbulls" of all breeds running lose, surely the owner knew there were small children in the area. I hope someone holds this man responsiblie.

What I don't understand is why they didn't put the dogs down. I am an animal lover but they are dangerous and have attacked already. The paper said that the dogs were being help at animal control cause the owner couldn't prove they had their rabies shots. What does that mean? That once he can prove it, they will let him take the dogs home?

I brought a golden retriever home as a puppy and every time she sees a bird she points. That is nothing I or the breeder taught her it's instinct through generations of breeding and is stamped into her dna by now.
I believe a pitbull can make a good pet but would always worry about yhier instincts.

Where did you get that information? I read the whole story in the paper today and it didn't say anything about the boy kicking the dog. So please tell me where you got that information?

Thats why They attacted him?
I guess the other pits knew she was pregnant and were just protecting THIER own.
Sorry I just don't believe any breed of dog is capable of that level of comprehension.
Unless it was the rare breed of Pitdolphins.

They weren't running loose, they were in the house, and the little boy went into the house. Because he was a stranger and the female had just had pups, they attacked. They were only defending their territory, and the owner has apologized several times, and is going to have them put down as soon as he gets them back from animal control.

Anyone telling the story any different is a moron who can't read the paper.
