My hearts goes out to the Barrios Family, I have follwed this story from day 1, and was tremendously sadden of the outcome. Christopher was a gift from God the Barrios Family, and for those people take his life away at a such tender age deserves to be punished to the fullest.
Little Christopher is in Gods care now, were he will be safe forever. I want to help keep people like the Endenfield family off the streets. They are SATANS children, and belongs in hell!!

Many Blessings,

what a shame that there isn't really a punishment fit for those people who killed little christopher. there should have never been a second chance for someone like them to get their hands on another child the first time..i pray there will never be another..my heart goes out to the barrios..
praying for you from oklahoma

I'm truley saddened for what happened to Christopher Barrios. my heartfelt prayers go out to the family.I have followed this story since day one wondering when judges are going to wake up?Where is the accountability? George Edenfield gets a slap on the wrist for molesting children. only to be let free to prey upon our kids. We as a society and parents have to be more vigilant in trying to keep these sikos behind bars. I myself would like to see every single one of them drawn and quartered!!!!! Cheap, yet effective.

This should be a wake-up call to all parents and caregivers....WATCH YOUR CHILDREN. I hope that this can save the lives of other children who we think are "OK" playing in a local playground close to home. That is no longer the case. They need ADULT SUPERVISION when they are not old enough or big enough to take care of themselves no matter where they are. This very simple thing would have made the difference of life and death for Christopher. If just one parent or "safe" adult had been watching over him.

For the family of little Christopher- I cannot express how much I cried for him and you and I don't think I will ever understand "why"...but always ask why in my mind everytime I hear of another innocent life taken so horribly. I wish there was something I could do to help but I know that greif takes it's toll and friends and family are what you need now. All I can say is that you have my empathy and my heart bleeds for you as well as any parent who has had to let their child reach heaven before they do. One day, when God says, you will all be a family again...this is not goodbye to Christopher as he will always be there for you in spirit.

There is a problem with our justice system. Yes, we as parents need to "watch" our children more carefully BUT the law has a duty as well. Child molesters NEVER reform, there is no such thing for them. Instead of our cities, states and government wasting money on things that are not making it safer for us but more entertaining, needless deaths such as this one should WAKE SOMEONE UP to realize that facilities/prisons need to be made for these type of individuals who get caught THE FIRST TIME sadly making one more victim but NO MORE VICTIMS AFTER THE FIRST!

I have a 5 y/o son who I would gladly go to prison for should anything ever happened to him and I watch him like a HAWK! However, I cannot be at his side EVERY MINUTE OF THE DAY as I have done, when he starts going to school....so for those of you who blame the parents, think again. I'm not saying that some parents don't need a lesson in child rearing but the bottom line is that THE LAWS NEED TO CHANGE to help us, as parents, when we are helpless to help our children who are at school, or otherwise away from us.

I HAVE BEEN FOLLOWING THE CASE ALSO.I HAVE THREE BEAUTIFUL CHILDREN AND I AM TO SCARED TO LET THEM GO OUTSIDE TO PLAY UNLESS ME OR MY HUSBAND IS OUT THERE. MY SON IS 15 AND I WILL NOT LEAVE HIM ALONE AT THE HOUSE HE KEEPS SAYING I'M OVER PROTECTIVE HECK YES I AM. THEN SOMETHING LIKE THIS HAPPENS AND HE UNDERSTANDS BUT WHY? WHY SHOULD THIS HAVE HAPPENED? THE COURTS HAD HIM A COUPLE DAYS BEFORE HE HURT LITLE CHRISTOPHER WHY DID THEY LET HIM GO? THAT WAS THE SECOND TIME HE WENT AGAINST HIS PROBATION RULES AND THEY LET HIM OUT TO GO AND HARM THIS ANGEL. HOW COULD THAT JUDGE LET HIM OUT? MY HEART GOES OUT TO THIS FAMILY. TO HAVE THERE SON RIPPED FROM THEM LIKE THAT IS THE MOST TRAGIC THING THAT CAN HAPPEN TO A FAMILY. I HOPE THAT SICK S*B GETS WHATS COMING TO HIM ALL OF THEM. AND I HOPE THAT JUDGE NAD PROBATION OFFICER HAVE AT LEAST A HARD TIME SLEEPING....... AT LEAST.

I read something while driving home to pickup my children from school yesterday....the sign said "Evil triumphs when good people do nothing". I think Christopher's horrific murder hit me so hard because I have a son that's a year older..and I can't imagine how that little boy felt after hearing the horrible things they did to him. And then when they were finished with him, they killed him and threw his body in a trash bag like it was garbage. If you are outraged as I am, let's make a change. One person banded together with lots of people that have the same views...CAN AND WILL make a difference. If you haven't done this yet please go to: www.nationalchildamendment.org .....under Jessica's Petition (for your state) and the NCAC National Petition - print it, sign it, mail it! Must be there before 4/15! Then go to http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/nosecondch... Sign that petition for No Second Chances for Convicted Child Molesters. If you've done it already, find friends, co-workers, relatives....tell them to do it.....PLEASE WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE ....WE CAN GET JUSTICE FOR ALL CHILDREN. Don't sit back and let the death of Christopher and Jessica Lunsford be for nothing!

I am so angry at the government and the country. I am so tired of hearing children being physically and sexually abused, and in this case, the worst, this precious child was murdered. Please check out Nancy Grace's website. There are links there for you to contact your state representatives and senators to encourage the passing of several laws to better protect children. My daughter made a comment that is so true...."If police found that an individual has just a small amount of drugs on them, they would immediately go to jail, even if it is a first offense". How right she is. What's wrong with this country? I don't believe in drugs, but I'd much rather put my tax money into keeping criminals in jail who abuse children before someone who is doing drugs?
I agree with the others, as far as a 6 year old wondering the street or neighborhood. 6 years is way to young to have that type of freedom. It makes me mad to think that if someone had been watching him he would not have been killed, but that is the God's honest truth.

Thank you, I have gone to these websites as well. I can't tell you how many times I have cried and not been able to sleep at night because of this precious child's abduction, horrific sexual abuse and murder.

We can all help by going to this website and signing the NO SECOND CHANCES Petition at http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/nosecondch...
You can either sign it online or better yet print this out and distribute it throughout your area (just copy and paste -then print) We need as many signatures as possible to help get tougher laws enacted nationwide. If there is any question as where to send signed petitions, you can send them to me at: G. Hester P.O. Box 3095 Brunswick, GA 31521. I will make sure they get sent to the correct government officials. Please do this so that no more children will be harmed. THANK YOU

As I keep reading thru this message board, I see a lot of people that sound like they truly want to help but don't know how...and I see a lot of people wasting posts by arguing who's for the death penalty and who's blaming the families...I can not stress how important it is for all of us to come together, stop bickering and let's really make a difference. For all of you that really don't know what to do to help try these suggestions:

Go to http://www.nationalchildamendment.org/ Find the Jessica's Petition for your state, then find the National Petition - print them and mail them by 4/15.

Then go to http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/nosecondch... sign that petition

Then go to http://www.stopchildpredators.org/ find out what you can do there.

Go to http://www.familywatchdog.us/ learn how to protect your family, the kids in your neighborhood.

Then go donate to the Christopher Barrios Foundation and the Jessica Marie Lunsford Foundation
Go to Oprah and search for her predator watch - she has a lot to offer there.....then maybe figure out what you can do in your own community to organize something at your child's school to teach them how to stay safe. Still need more suggestions, write your congress men & women - write everyone you can until you are tired....you know what...I am. I'm a mom to a 7 & 10 yr old, I work 40+ hours a week, I'm tired ..no I didn't use to do any of this before....before Christopher's horrible incident..but I've got to say it changed me - I can't just sit back anymore and say it's not my child, I don't live near there and it won't affect me..because I'm so affected I still cry over a little boy that I didn't even know. I can't sit back and say my little corner of the world is ok, because it's not - we need to make a difference here...we need to do our best...we need to come together and get the laws changed to protect all the children!

I am so sick of reading that Our Brunswick Angel's parents should have watched him better. I don't care if that angel was sitting on those demons' porch, it doesn't give them the right to do all the things that are known and unknown to him. People are also talking about our angel's mother and father, I don't no either one of them personally. I have heard all the talk and I am mad as H3LL!, because I don't care if it was the younger Edenfield's kid, that child doesn't have anything to do with what his/her parent(s) have done or will do with their live(s). People are saying that CMB, Jr's dad seems kinda slow, too. WHAT THE H3LL...I talked to Mike (Christopher's dad) he is not slow, HE LOST HIS SON!!!! HELLO! HE IS HURT, DEVASTATED, ETC. I didn't search for CMB, Jr. And I'm am glad that I didn't because I know I would have had a break down. I can't say anything else I am too blown away with some of the things that are being said.... I'll say this before I go, think about one person that is perfect, that hasn't done ANYTHING wrong... I know one and HE will punish ALL that do things like this to OUR BABIES! Don't worry about Christopher M. Barrios, Jr., he had a purpose, he did what he was here on earth for, I think that he gave his life so other children won't have to. We (adults) NEED to take a stand to make sure that he and all the other children that have died or assulted haven't in vain. Little Christopher is safe in Heaven now let us help debhesx27 and everyone else make this world safe for children.... then again JUST SAFE PERIOD!
I'm sorry this is so long... I'm just hurt, mad,...

I just want to say that my heart and condolances go out to Christopher & Family.

The Endenfield family should get the highest sentence with the justice system. They do not deserve to live. God will take care of them. They will be punished for what they did. The death penalty is waiting for that sick family.

MONDAY APRIL 2, 2007

I stood at the grave of a beautiful little boy today and angrily asked God "WHY??" As I looked upon all the flowers, pictures and Spiderman figures left for this little angel-I cried. Cried because this all seems so senseless. Cried because a family will grieve forever. Cried because I was afraid...AFRAID this will all go away too soon and just be forgotten. AFRAID that this will happen again. AFRAID that Christopher's death will be in vain. It was then that I got my personal answer to the WHY? I decided right then and there that I was going to do everything in my power to help get justice for this angel and all of our precious children. A 6 year old child I never knew, buried beneath a beautiful flowering tree-and I cried... because on this gorgeous spring day little Christopher should have been climbing up that tree-not buried in the ground beneath it.
