I just finished watching a memorial video of Christopher..I've got to say how much I still cry ..after watching that .

It make me so sad, my youngest is 7, he just finished 1st grade. Christopher didn't have that option, he didn't even get to finish kindergarten.

What are we doing to get these laws changed. What are we doing to bring justice to him.

Can someone please tell me. I'm so sad and so frustrated here.

Uhmmm seems like this thread as gotten off the issue at hand. A life uncommon and straight from savannah specifically. Are we not talking about the murder of a child? Or has this turned into a thread about silly idiotic topics such as Creole food and football.
This is a place to remember Christopher Barrios and the topics such as keeping child molesters away from children.

I think crimes against children and crimes of endangerment should have much harsher penalties.
Personally I think ANY crime against a child should be punishable by a minimum of 20 years with no chance of parole.
I feel that DUI's should NEVER get a slap on the wrist. Revoke the license and do prison time the FIRST time.
Much of our justice system is indeed a joke. I just personally feel that death is not an option.
I just wanted to say I respect your opinion and position on death. I don't necessarily agree with it in this case...crimes against children are the most horrific IMO. However, I do understand your position and respect it. It's the right position for you, and just because I disagree with you or you disagree with me, doesn't make either of us evil people. That's life IMO. If we all agreed all the time, things sure would be boring.

That said, our legal system is a joke. A big fat unfunny joke. Get a DUI, pay a small fine, and go do it again. Meanwhile, families on the way home from a soccer game are being killed by these idiots who drink and drive. Child molesters serve a few years, get out on parole, and find more kids to hurt. The only thing jail accomplished was teach them ways to get away with it longer. It really is a joke. So maybe if we started putting a bullet in them, they would think twice before hurting our children.

WOW, I am truly amazed by what I've been reading on these forums lately...I haven't been posting, I am very ashamed! DO any of you remember how you felt the day those monsters took Christopher? Do you remember the sadness you felt when you heard that after they tortured him, they murdered him and threw him aside like trash?

Why don't you all stop, and think about that day for a minute....we all needed to work together to make a difference. FIGHTING, BICKERING, CALLING EACH OTHER NAMES....doesn't bring justice to Christopher. NO, I didn't personally know that little boy...but he changed me forever. I am working for Christopher, for Jessica, for Amber, for Polly, for Carly...and the list goes on. I don't want another child to suffer and die like Christopher had to.

It's just sad because of all the stories we see everyday. I don't understand how anyone could harm a child. We definately need harsher penalties to deter people from doing these things. But just like there is no threat of the paddle in our schools anymore (which would keep most of us in line when I was growing up, just because the "threat" was always there) today kids know they can't be touched, therefore push everyone to their limits, and alot of teens have no respect for authority anymore. My step son is only one of many. I say harsher punishment for any sexual predator, and anyone that hurts a child. If you touch a woman or child you should pay the price for that offense. But hey what do I know, people get away with murder every day because they use the "I was abused" defense, ot the mentally unstable defense. Just ask the Preacher's wife that recently got convicted and will be out before paris, or that B!%$H that drowned her children. She was not crazy enough to keep from chasing the one that almost got away, or for calling the police because she knew she was wrong. The "I'm crazy" defense drives ME CRAZY. We have to live in fear because people are out there that were too crazy to go to prison, but not too crazy to pull the trigger. The system sucks if you are a law abiding citizen. The criminals and the crazy have all the rights. If you're a crazy criminal, you have it made.
