Hopefully the inmates that can get to these "scumbags" will teach them a thing or two prior to the state executing them.

Very sad indeed.
I was hoping for a safe return but lost hope after about 3 days.

What's really awful is that no one knows the truth because these four people were telling tales. It "appears" that this Edenfield committed the actual killing, and both Edenfield's parent plus this Donald Dale helped him. Good thing they arrested all of them.
Does GA have the death penalty?

I'm appalled at this barbaric 'eye for an eye' mentality.

All of you wanting them dead makes you no better than the person who committed the crime.
It's sickening.

There is no excuse for hurting a child. There is no reasoning for hurting a child. People that hurt children are little more than rabid animals and should be treated as such.

the sad thing is he had already served a minor sentence for abusing children. I do not they should be killed but: 1) their license plates should have Sex Offender in big letters on them.(2) Their addresses should be listed in the paper on a weekly basis, and (3) if they offend again - life sentence - no possibility of parole.

I too am sadened and angered over yet another tragedy. I have followed this story from day 1 of little Christopher's abduction. I have a 4 year old precious boy, a gift from God as all children are. I can't imagine the pain and agony the barrios family has been feeling and is suffering through at this time. Those people deserved to burn in hell for what ever horrible things they have done to Christopher Barrios. I have worked conducting background checks and have seen it time and time again these Child Predators roaming in our communities in our Children's schools. I have interviewed Sex Offenders who have had 2 Felonies or more of Aggrevated Assault to minors, yet they sit in front of me applying for jobs, living breathing the same air as our children. They are sentenced to 10 Years Incarceration at the max, only to always be reduced to 3 years of probation and a stupid fine, oh yes and less we not forget you have to register as a sex offender because we intend to put you back out into society among the children. What the hell???? If nothing else I implore everyone to educate yourselves and your communities on what these people are capable of, familiarize yourself with your local sex offender database. If one moves near you, too close for comfort knock on your neighbors door and point and tell them who and where he or she lives and what they have done. Pass out flyers, hell post a sign on there curb Child Predator. Screw their rights our children are what is important. The justice system has mandated a way for these Sex Offenders to repeat their crimes by giving them an opportunity by letting them out. Why are there even laws for 2nd and 3rd offenses and increased punishments for each time they destroy a child and their families lives? Comman sense approach based on logic 1st time sex offender and last time. Throw away the damn key. With all this talk and compassion for the Barrios family, I suggest everone take a moment to locate there local Senators and Governers mailing addresses, and write a letter mandating a change in the laws for these Predators. Find out what mandates and acts currently exsist and urge them to fund these efforts on behalf of our children. You can make a difference in the name of your own Children, In the name of CHRISTOPHER BARRIOS JR. God Bless his sole. Do not let his death be in vein... My heart, prayers and deepest sympathy for the Barrios Family.

A friend has an 18 year old son on the registry for messing with his 16 year old girlfriend. He is considering leaving the country fearing for his life. People will classify him with monsters like this.

I have to say, I strongly disagree with most of the consent laws regarding teenage sex.
A boy here in Georgia was sent to prison for having sex with a 15 year old girl when they were both 15 and she consented.
What I think happened, was that daddy found out his daughter was sleeping with a black boy and spewed.

Fortunately, he has since been exonerated.

I'm sorry that this has happened to your son.
It's truly a shame that young men are scarred for consensual sex with their own age group.
Hopefully these kids will learn that sex is not a game and big trouble can and has resulted.

America must adopt zero tolerance for child molesters. They should not see the light of day. They should do their time in the big house then be transferred to labor camps. How long is this going to be permitted in this country? I own property in a rural municipality of approx 2000. There are 19 sex offenders here. They are ugly, despicable and gross pieces of piss poor protoplasm that ought to be behind a very high fence. IMHO.

I heard on the news the perv that did this is a two strikes sex offender. A judge gave him 10 years probation x2. He should have had a ankle bracklet on or something. Regardless, he never served any time in jail, and his whole seedy familu are involved, according to what I saw on CNN last might. Sick.

I believe Georgia has Jessica's law now, and he will get atleast 25 years, no less, and likely the death penalty. Hopefully.

That poor little boy, I feel so bad for him and his family.

Chapter -XXI- Omaha

On the morning of June 29, 1989, pandemonium erupted in the corridors of power in the nation's capital.``Homosexual Prostitution Probe Ensnares Official of Bush, Reagan,'' screamed the front-page headline of the Washington Times with the kicker ``Call Boys Took Midnight Tour of White House.''

The Times reported,``A homosexual prostitution ring is under investigation by federal and District authorities and includes among its clients key officials of the Reagan and Bush administrations, military officers, congressional aides and U.S. and foreign businessmen with close ties to Washington's political elite.''

The exposeť centered on the role of one Craig Spence, a Republican powerbroker known for his lavish ``power cocktail'' parties. Spence was well connected. He celebrated Independence Day 1988 by conducting a midnight tour of the White House in the company of two teenage male prostitutes among others in his party.

Rumors circulated that a list existed of some 200 Washington prominents who had used the call boy service. The Number Two in charge of personnel affairs at the White House, who was responsible for filling all the top civil service posts in the federal bureaucracy, and Secretary of Labor Elizabeth Dole's chief of staff, were two individuals publicly identified as patrons of the call boy ring.

Two of the ring's call boys were allegedly KGB operatives, according to a retired general from the Defense Intelligence Agency interviewed by the press. But the evidence seemed to point to a CIA sexual blackmail operation, instead. Spence's entire mansion was covered with hidden microphones, two-way mirrors and video cameras, ever ready to capture the indiscretions of Washington's high, mighty and perverse. The political criteria for proper sexual comportment had long been established in Washington: Any kinkiness goes, so long as you don't get caught. The popular proverb was that the only way a politician could hurt his career was if he were ``caught with a dead woman or a live boy'' in his bed.

Months after the scandal had died down, and a few weeks before he allegedly committed suicide, Spence was asked who had given him the ``key'' to the White House. The Washington Times reported that ``Mr. Spence hinted the tours were arranged by `top level' persons, including Donald Gregg, national security advisor to Vice President Bush''@s1 and later U.S. ambassador to South Korea.

We have already had occasion to examine Don Gregg's role in Iran-Contra, and have observed his curious performance when testifying under oath before congressional committees. Gregg indignantly denied any connection to Spence, yet it is public record that Spence had sponsored a dinner in Gregg's honor in the spring of 1989 at Washington's posh Four Seasons Hotel in Georgetown.

Our country is rotten from the top on down folks...

I can't understand how a parent can do this to their own child? It sickens me to death. All these poor innocent children that doesn't even know what is going on. and the worst part is is that this boy seeing his parents not even definding him or trying to protect him.(unless something comes out otherwise that they didn't have anything to do with it) I just can't understand why this government won't do more to protect the children? Everyone is a million times right-lock them up throw away the keys. These sex offenders will never be rehabilated. they have some kind of mental disease and it will not be fixed. I also can't figure out why a lawyer would want to defend them? These sex offenders get out of jail go live in a normal neighborhood (reasonable priced houses)and sometimes people don't get nofified. Let these perverts go live in those nice ritzy neighborhoods with the lawyers that defended them and be around their children. I bet that jerk of a lawyer or that jerk of a judge who let them out so soon would think again!
