you guys sure do prove WHY this sort of thing happens here in Gloucester. If you think this all started with the election you are wrong. It started way before that with the arrogant following of the 40 type. The knee jerk reaction, of the newly elected "4"was a symptom not a cause. The 4 being politically wrong was not criminal, yet what the 40 did came close to being criminal. What the 40 did was not in any way justice, or justifiable. You that defend the wrongs of the 40, are the cause that this whole matter happen in the first place. You are the ones that pick sides, and that give the sides to the BOS. You would think that with all of years, of leadership there would be a stated rule for the Administrator to follow and we would not need a BOS. Yet for some reason we give our Governmental Bodies the ability to grow larger than we the private sector can pay for. The corruption of the Judicial System, in this matter will be much harder to repair, than any election, clearing out the members of the BOS, and should not be looked at lightly. To think that the freedom of the press would feel protected, while not properly explaining this only shows the stupidity of the shallow minded, for if the Judicial System is corrupt the we do not have a free press, but only propaganda.
Thank you. Finally somone who 'GETS' it. It's not the 'person', it's the 'action'. But all these politico nitwits in Gloucester hate the 'person' because they are on the 'other' side........seems we wait for the 'gossips' to die for us to get some 'thinkers' out there.

An aside: I'd not be so quick to support the local press. Freedom of the press comes with some responsibility. There seems to be little responsibility in the local reporting in the daily press.
Should have said it

<quoted text>His date of hire starts the day he started receiving pay, from that day forward, if you have proof of him being paid from any other date, please bring it on. If not you are the fool.
Smith testified under oath that the supes and elected-but-not-seated supes met and discussed hiring him, decided on a salary, and asked Crewe to prepare a contract. He testified under oath that Altemus cast over her shoulder on Dec 27, "Oh, by the way, you're hired. Report on Jan 1." At the FATAL meeting, the vote was done and the contract was produced, SURPRISING COMPLETELY THREE SITTING SUPERVISORS. It is customary that a hiring--AND A FIRING--will have been discussed by the whole board--even in a business.

So what is your point? There is nothing Wrong with that, Hicks, the Judge said so, Yet you seem to be stuck on it. Go to the library get a High School civics book and read it, oh that's right Gloucester High School, doesn't teach local government anymore, guess you will have to go to a Yorktown library.
