keeping the accesses to the water open are not to be funded by just boaters..boaters could never pay to keep the accesses open.and most accesses u are talking about are for only realestate developments..a tax on boaters will not help the dredging you are talking about. after u factor in clerks and perks and the value of boats has dropped greatly and the loss from out of towners spending money here, you will lose. this is a landgrab by a few politicians and it is very POLITICAL. There is an unseen agenda here. Hampton should fill up with boats first. Most of the Marinas are empty. Any money Marinas get goes into infrastructure.Look around. Folks are going to bail and they will leave with their boats or downsize. Good luck Hampton!. A great waterfront community that really dosent want the water.
