Its disheartening to see one of our own hurt, the physical pain he went through until his last breath and the way he was found. Israel Shorting had so much love for his people, for the length of time I had known him, he was giving and very respectful. He loved life and always traveled to see new things, he was courageous and in Canada, he was our warrior. He has so many loved ones in Canada he left behind and imagine the people who were his true friends across North America. We love you Israel, and we are praying for your family in Canada. They loved you so much. RIP

So sad to hear about such a beautiful man who would give you his shirt off his back, killed by our own people. We loved him so much up here in Canada, his relatives and family must be devastated. May he rest well and also pray for those who hurt him, for they will meet their maker one day and they will have to answer for what they did. I pray for his loving mother and father who do such much for people, very spiritual family. In God we pray for those affected by this horrendous news about our relative.

This is one of the saddest times for our people, we lost a great man to violence, he did all he could to always please those around him, and he was treated with little respect because of spousal abuse. Men like him need to recognized, he was not violent, but violence found him. His children lost their father and they live in Canada, never to see him again. Rest In Peace my dear friend, rest in peace. Say NO to Violence against Men who are not the violent ones, but the good person who love their partners even though they were given little or no respect.
