If land owners would be more responsible and quit putting in these run down trailer parks, it would help our drug situation. People are able to move trailers into these parks that should not even be allowed on the road. I know there is a need for trailer parks, but there needs to be some rules. The trailer park these people were arrested in is just another dump.

I've read some of the post and did read About Chris Hyatt in the paper, I am not from here, Do not know him or his family or anyone on this forum or the circumstances behind his death but I do believe in Human Compassion and if something happened to one of my children I would be devastated, No worse than devastated because I don't believe there is a word to describe that kind of pain and heartache. I don't understand all the negative comments toward his mother during her time of grief. How would we act if we were in her shoes? We don't know unless we've been in that same exact situation and god knows we pray we never are. I also believe in karma. So whatever it is she is doing that upsets everyone the best thing would just leave her be as all the negative comments just keep things stirred up. Out of curiousity what does she have to do with meth?

Try telling that to her as she is causing grief without proof herself and setting herself up for plenty of lawsuits. Karma is an indian superstitution and amounts to nothing.

She seems to just come across as a bully to me. I am sure she is very hurt, but she will never have peace until she decides to forgive.

How would you like to be Chris' wife and look down the barrel of a shotgun pointed at you by the man who supposedly loved you, and then watch your daddy fight for his life when it was turned on him??? How would you like to be put in a situation where it was either kill or be killed?? That compassion can go both ways. His mother likes to have stuff stirred up. Otherwise she would not be stirring it up. But I agree, that I wish everyone would just hush and quit giving her the attention she is so obviously seeking. It is obvious she loves every minute of it. And I sure hope Karma exists. If anyone deserves it, it is her.

This is just a bad and sad situation for everyone involved. She would come across much better if she were a little more humble.

News from the Sheriff's Website.

January 12 - Two arrests for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute while in possession of firearm.

January 12 - Three arrests for possession of precursor chemicals with intent to manufacture Methamphetamine, Felony child abuse, two also charged with possession of meth and one charged with generation of hazardous waste.

January 7 - One arrest for possession of methamphetamine.

January 7 - Two arrests for possession of cocaine with intent to distribute.

January 8 - One arrest for possession of methamphetamine.

To the Sheriff's Department, keep up the good work.
For everyone else, get involved in your community, keep an eye out for drug activity and if you see it, call the Mississippi Crime Stoppers, or use the Sheriff's website. Lets clean up our community make it a safe place to raise our children, grand children. More and more people are being affected by the drug epidemic and it needs to stop. Every family in George County has been affected in one way or another. My family has been affected as well and I wish I would have been proactive early on. Even to the point of turning my own kid in to the law. This would have saved his live in the long run. All illegal drugs are illegal for a reason as well as the abuse of prescription drugs and it is our responsibility to our children and grand children to do everything in our power to help law enforcement remove drugs from our schools, homes, streets, etc..

Ignoring the problem does not make it go away. Ignoring the problem enables the user and eventually something horrible will occur involving them.
How many drug overdoses do you remember reading about last year? How many violent crimes involving abusers of drugs?

Wake up. This is a real problem and we need to put an end to it in George County.

I hear that but there is no end until the profit and demand are gone. When people stop wanting that mess, it will dry up. Supply and demand. for now, all we can do is supply the law with any info on drug activity. If your kid, relative or friend brings drugs into your home and is caught, you may lose your home.

I agree with you 100%- if we crack down in GC they will go elsewhere, we may not be able to stop it totally, but we can control it here. If it is not readily available to our children and grandchildren, that will make a difference. We need to go one step further, we have too many baby boomers walking around addicted to prescription drugs - Drs need to be held accountable for their prescriptions.

How do you go to the sheriff's website - I did not vote for Tony, but so far I am impressed with him - if he continues he will be a difference in our county
