Scoop are you a lawyer? If not you need to be, that is what these TV shows do. I good policeman finds the evidence. The longer a case drags on, the harder to get the evidence> I would like to be a detective, just ask my family

Still time, go for it. I got faith in you. I do have some experience and knowledge of what it takes to successfully bring on and prosecute a case though.

I think what most people are missing in this case is that to be charged with murder, or any crime for that matter, the police have to be able to prove criminal intent. I am sure the D.A. was also consulted on this. If they can't do that, the death goes to the grand jury, as it will here. In the end, the facts will be presented to a grand jury made up of George County citizens and they will have the ultimate say.

taking a gun to a man's house with you seems like intent to me.. Chris was my friend. We got pissed at each other over dumb stuff all the time, but he never once acted aggressively toward me or anyone else that I'm aware of unless provoked.. In 16 years' time, I watched him grow into a man, have children, argue with women, and catch fish like it was goin outta style. To all you assholes who didn't know him and wanna talk like you did: F#C% YOU!!,and to Chris, I'll see you one day my friend. The son of a bitch who shot you will pay when the gates of hell swing wide open for his scared old ass

The way you are talking shows you will be in Hell with him. God does not like foul and useless talk. I knew him personally which is why I didn't associate with him.

God doesn't seem to like anything when certain people such as yourself dont agree with what they hear. As you already know, we are ALL sinners and I dont appreciate you trying to judge me, as if you're so much better. I've found that most folks who throw God into the topic are generally the ones who have the most to hide, so good luck with your issues and may God have mercy on you, as he will.

We were once sinners. After you repent, you sin no more except willfully. The Lord Jesus Christ commanded, "Judge righteous judgment" (John 7:24). He told a man, "Thou hast rightly judged" (Luke 7:43). To others, our Lord asked, "Why even of yourselves judge ye not what is right?" (Luke 12:57).

The Apostle Paul wrote, "I speak as to wise men; judge ye what I say" (I Corinthians 10:15). Again, Paul declared, "He that is spiritual judgeth all things" (I Corinthians 2:15). It is our positive duty to judge.

"Beware of false prophets!" (Matthew 7:15) is the warning and command of our Lord. But how could we "beware" and how could we know they are "false prophets" if we did not judge? And what is the God-given standard by which we are to judge? "To the Law and to the Testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them." (Isaiah 8:20). "Ye shall know them by their fruits" (Matthew 7:16), Christ said. And in judging the "fruits," we must judge by God’s Word, not by what appeals to human reasoning. Many things seem good to human judgment, which are false to the Word of God.

Nothing any of you spout on here will make any difference in the courts decision. You are only making matters worse. The grand Jury will soon decide.Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.

Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:

and once again, someone who knows how to read starts throwing around biblical quotes, as if they know the meaning of it all.. How's this? There is no god. This book was written, as so many others have been, to cause war and dispair among people. I bet you claim that the "good book" is all about peace and loving your fellow man, but we all know deep down that this writing has done nothing but cause confusion and never ending chaos on earth. I'm done with topix. There's nothing but a bunch of hypocrites and moronic redneck jesus freaks floating around, just waiting for christ to return! hahaha.. Folks gotta have somn to believe in because they're so damn scared to die. Well, we ALL die eventually, so just cope with it fools.

Can people be decent and moral without believing in a God who commands us to be good? Sure. There have always been kind and ethical nonbelievers. But how many of them reason their way to kindness and ethics, and how many simply reflect the moral expectations of the society in which they were raised?

In our culture, even the most passionate atheist cannot help having been influenced by the Judeo-Christian worldview that shaped Western civilization.“We know that you can be good without God,’’ Speckhardt tells CNN.

He can be confident of that only because he lives in a society so steeped in Judeo-Christian values that he takes those values for granted. But a society bereft of that religious heritage is one not even Speckhardt would want to live in.

For in a world without God, there is no obvious difference between good and evil. There is no way to prove that murder is wrong if there is no Creator who decrees “Thou shalt not murder.’’ It certainly cannot be proved wrong by reason alone. One might reason instead — as Lenin and Stalin and Mao reasoned — that there is nothing wrong with murdering human beings by the millions if doing so advances the Marxist cause. Or one might reason from observing nature that the way of the world is for the strong to devour the weak — or that natural selection favors the survival of the fittest by any means necessary, including the killing of the less fit.

It may seem obvious to us today that human life is precious and that the weakest among us deserve special protection. Would we think so absent a moral tradition stretching back to Sinai? It seemed obvious in classical antiquity that sickly babies should be killed.“We drown even children who at birth are weakly and abnormal,’’ wrote the Roman philosopher Seneca the Younger 2,000 years ago, stressing that “it is not anger but reason’’ that justifies the murder of handicapped children.

Reason is not enough. Only if there is a God who forbids murder is murder definitively evil. Otherwise its wrongfulness is a matter of opinion. Mao and Seneca approved of murder; we disapprove. What makes us think we’re right?

The God who created us created us to be good. Atheists may believe — and spend a small fortune advertising — that we can all be “good without God.’’ History tells a very different story.

lol.. These people are so funny. Arguing over things that have been argued over for over two thousand years now. It's a never ending battle that so many folks just need to stop fighting over. Let me believe what I shall without pushing your beliefs on me, and I will do the same. Treat others as you wish to be treated. Well, I wish to believe as I will, and I will allow you all to do the same as long as you dont try and convince me of your ideals, of which I have no concern. Let people figure out their own path in life by whatever means they find necessary, without giving them grief for it, and we will all be better off as human beings as long as our ideals aren't hurting anyone else. Christian men and women, please stop being so pushy in preaching the gospel. It is the cause of so many people turning against christianity and you have to realize this before you do the damage. Let them find God in their own time, and they surely will. Thank you

God does not push anyone to be a Christian - it is a gift and it is only yours if you accept it. I would never push my beliefs on anyone, I believe in God and think this would be a much better world if everyone did, but that will never happen. Many people can never find their path unless someone else shows them.

I've read some pretty stupid comments in my life, but some of these are the best of the worst. I'll start off by saying this, if you point a shotgun at me, I don't care how good of a person you are, or who's house it is, or whether or not you intend to use it...I am going to shoot first every time if possible. And once you make the decision to use a weapon in defense of your life, you shoot to kill not to wound. This is a good example of why mentally challenged individuals shouldn't be allowed to have firearms. That is, if his was in fact registered to him, which I doubt. I don't know the full details, so I won't attempt to comment on the specifics that I do not know, the one fact I do know is that he had a gun, and was pointing it at Mr. Wheeler. Based on that, and the fact that a Grand Jury didn't see just cause to prosecute tells me it was a justified shooting. I'd like to apologize for my correct spelling and grammar, I hope that you can still read and understand most of it. Some of you Mississippi "educated" people may have to google some of the bigger words.
