HOW can we pay for this and 1 million to NCDOT and fix sewer and water... and repair streets that are crumbling...500,000 to Whitewater....on and on... Belmont is going to be the LEAST affordable place to live within 100 miles!

are you kidding belmont? we can't even fill a nba basketball arena or a minor league baseball stadium for heavens sake. and of course the beautiful tennis courts at the american legion are coming to good use too.laughable. gas prices are helping too. this is gross to say the least. if this comes to fruition, then city leaders has screwed up again. my condolences to our ex major. may he RIP; i did not know him but he was a victim along with a passenger in a high speed chase involving a suv and bpd. story is unfolding. did this warrant high speed officers? two people died because of a high speed chase bpd!

Dang, y'all complain about everything.

Not to worry. I'm sure everyone down in City Hall will take notice of all the anonymous people bitching on this internet forum and will take no notice of all those people who actually showed up for the meeting who were in favor of the park.
