K Collins needs to move to Montana.....I am sure that you are ultimately qualified and have all data required to pronounce that Mount Holly does not need and would benefit from an Urgent Care Facility both economically and from the stanpoint of need in the particular area. Is the placement of stop lights and train crossings also a forte? I trust K Collins to determine this! LOL! Hope that you do not have and emergency wherein seconds count K "Carnac the Magnificent"Collins.
Be glad that the "Government" has found that Mount Holly needs a facility the will increase revenues for businesses and provide a higher level of care that is closer to the people that may need it.
What specific health care need does your family have that is not being currently met that this new facility in Mount Holly will meet? You act as if they'll provide the cure for cancer. Is all the facilities in Meck. and Gaston Counties not enough for you needs? Or are you just wanting someplace close to save on gas money?

According to my health insurance, a trip to the urgent care in Charlotte will cost me 1/3 of the cost as a trip to an emergency room would. I know where my broken arms are going.

The "powers that be"---the government or whomever--says that we need the facility and it would benefit Mt Holly economically and care-wise. It will be an EMERGENCY CARE facility. This will not be a place for cancer research. Sometimes things happen that are more serious than a broken arms- duh!? You are a very negative person. There is NO Argument here-just a negative person with little to do. Concentrate on these 2 facts--(1) It will improve local care for many people (2) It will also help the local area economically. What is the problem with your comprehension? The facility should not harm you in any way---relax!

Does it bother you that side deals are happening that benefit individuals who are also helping to make these decisions? Much like all other MH decisions.

It's an ER facility and treating a broken arm is stretching the limit of care that can be provided. Any injury or illness more serious than children with ear infections, stomach viruses or druggies trolling with "back pain" will be sent to a hospital. How is paying twice cost effective for anyone other than the ER facility?

These ER facilities are for EMERGENCIES, how can this improve local care? My regular GP has emergency hours 7 days a week and are on call 24 hours. Locals need to hook up with a regular GP and not depend on an ER facility to be their family doctor.

Check out who owns the land, who is brokering the land deal, and who is on the litigation end of the deal. It'll surprise you. Or maybe not.

You come across like a jealous hater. Who is involved in any deal and why does it matter? You aren't involved obviously and will always be in the bleachers. What addition to Mount Holly would you NOT critique negatively.

I would not react negatively to the removal of the mayor and council from office.

"Speaks volumns" what does that mean? That the facility is not needed or will not help the economy of Mt Holly? What? Is she a freak or what? I do not know her but this project is certainly larger than she and more important than the fact that she has something to do with the deal.

The significance of Edna Cherico or what any particular people may feel about her does not have anything to do with whether this project holds value for Mount Holly. People like "Get Real" are superficial and short-sighted to insinuate that the project is a less than good thing because of one person that happens to be involved in it. Quit acting like ignorant sheep!!!! There is little wonder why Mount Holly progresses slowly.
