Nothing new- we knew the pro-Parkway people were desperately trying to create an argument for this foolish road.

Anyone who believes that the Parkway won't create jobs in Gaston County is severely deluded. It will be a huge economic growth engine.

It will be a huge engine alright - it will drive the quality of life right out of this area. I prefer not to get on board a death train.

Oh yes, Robert. It sure will be. The Turnpike Authority has done a great job in all of their studies and is such a good source of information. And Mr. Connaughton is someone that is never influenced in his "predictions" by being paid to predict.

The Garden Parkway will never happen. Look at the Monroe Bypass and the great job that the Turnpike Authority did with that. I bet the Department of Transportation in North Carolina is scrambling right now to try to figure out how they can pretend that the Turnpike Authority did not report to them.

Economic engine. What a joke. Your economics might end up being energized but not Gaston County. Why don't you and Pittenger and Hoyle go somewhere where your greedy little club meets and figure out how to get your precious road out of the trouble it is in?
