The woman never "bought" the cat, it was birthed from the cat she currently owns. If she "got it" for her 4 year old daughter then when this all started, her daughter must have been 1, right? what kind of "lesson" are you actually going to teach a child of that age about "whats right is right and whats wrong is wrong?" NOTHING!! That child would have been happy with any other kitten from the pound. The only lesson being taught here is to be a mean bully.

My grandmother has never "stolen" anything in her whole life! It's a joke! If anyone should be charged, it's Mrs. Otey!!! For animal cruelty and neglect for not taking care of that poor starved kitten in the first place. It obviously ran away for a reason and would be dead had my grandmother not taken it in when her neighbor, Doyle, gave it to her 3 years ago!
