Welty fights Colorado extradition

A former manager of an Inland Empire strip club has filed a civil lawsuit against authorities in Colorado and California to prevent his extradition to Colorado following completion of a jail sentence at West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga.

As sleezy as this guy is and what he represents along with his "adult business" lawyer, I am in the awkward position to agree with the argument his lawyer is making. Based on his conviction in California for essentially the same crime, I would agree that having a conviction in Colorado would amount to double jeopardy.
Also considering there was no real victim in the crime other than a potential for this to occur in the future, a life sentence does not fit the crime. Had there been a real victim, this would be a different situation.

If I ever need a lawyer I want him. Probably too expensive but hey who wants life in prison.

Mr. Diamond is smart because he knows Mr. Child molester's Dad will pay anything for his sick Son back, and so he will. But with double jeopardy all charges that were plead have to be the same that Co. charged. Kind of like murder charges in one state and conspiracy charges in another state for the same murder. Doubly jeopardy doesn't apply and it doesn't here either. Just like with Andrew Luster Mr. Diamond will take the money but will fail to do any good.

The first two post look too fishy. Maybe support for the twisted child molester. Maybe from Family, friend's or maybe "Pop's" himself. Leroy himself doesn't seem too intelligent stressing a little too much about how Mr. Diamond is sooo goood. A little too obvious. In any event I wouldn't be ordering the party cake (with the 9 year old jumping out of it) just yet.(who would even want to attend that party) Bet your a proud Papa. I also bet the apple doesn't fall far from the tree

I have lived in Canon City, Co for 40 years. The judge Julie Marshall and prosecutor Kathy Eberling are a force to be reconded with. I do not know of anybody in 20 years that has gotten a fair shake from this diabolic duo. Marshall grants motion for Eberling 90 percent of the time while granting motions for the defence maybe 10 percent of the time
thus orchestrating the outcome of a trial. Welty's laywer is way ahead of the game if he can keep him out of Colorado's hands. He will not be treated fairly in this court.
