When called for jury duty in Houston, I flatly refuse to serve if the accused are illegal aliens. They are not my peers. Their peers are foreign nationals in some other country.

I wouldn't serve if the person was illegal or, if the person was legal, but didn't speak English and required a translator. It's not fair to the taxpayers to be paying for this crap for illegal aliens or for legal immigrants who don't care to speak English. Let them pay for all of it themselves or be thrown in jail sans a trial. Don't like it? Don't come here, much less come here and commit crimes.

Does this mean that an illegal alien here has to be judged by a jury of his peers...and who or what exactly would the illegal's peers be?(just curious)

It means, I think, that there are no peers in this country for them to be judged by. We have a separate court system for foreign nationals, and in that court system is where foreign nationals should be tried for all offenses, state or federal. Overhaul the immigration court system to make this happen. Make changes in state courts so that non-citizens are tried in that separate court system for crimes committed against the states. All aliens should be tried and punished in federal courts and prisons.

Normally I agree with you but if American citizens refuse to serve on juries when the accused is an illegal alien; all we will get as jurors are the pro illegal immigrant group.

We've got a dire situation now, anyway. Justice is already f*ed. To further travesty with reluctant consent does no good. We have to protest and deny assistance to a process that is wrong. This is what affects change. Bowing to wrong does not. We are within our rights as citizens to affect such change. It is our duty, actually.

If there are no peers for the illegal to be judged by , then they IMO should be fast track deported....and be remanded to the authorities in their respective nations of origin......
