Castle Doctrine or not, if I was on either jury those cowardly murderers Michael and Chad would be in the same place. No difference for me.

What I don't understand with the judicial system is...they say CALL 911.....well YES....you can do that BUT....many times it takes a trooper 20 - 30 minutes to respond to your call. That trooper has a great range of zone area to cover, can't just POP-UP on your doorstep at a moments notice. In that amount of time you OR your loved ones could be severely injured OR dead. What should you do? As it stands noe a NUT JOB has to BREAK down your door OR BREAK your window and gain entrance for you to be able to use deadly force. You BETTER make sure ALL blood is INSIDE of your home and you better make quite sure that they are dead OR they will sue you for their injuries...this is all a load of KRAPP. Mr. Alloway I hope and pray you succeed in getting the law passed for decent persons to be able to protect themselves and their loved ones.

I wonder if Rich is sitting in his office reading some of these comments. As an attorney, he has to have his hands on his head, pulling hair. He is now aware of just how many of is district's citizens are armed and ready to shoot their boisterous neighbor.

From what I understand, you already have the right to use deadly force if threatened outside your home and no way to safely retreat.

As far as I can tell, this meaningless expansion simply tells people they no longer have to safely retreat. What's up with that?

Did either of these individuals who applied deadly force call the police on the day in question? If they did not then the sentence should be even greater.

i think the castle doctrin should be in the state and in all states it should be in their right along with your right to bear arms after all a mans home is his castle and if they were threatoned on their own property.( IN MY OPINION PUT YOURSELF IN THEIR SHOES YOU PROBABLY WOULD HAVE DONE THE SAME THING !)

The PO article by Jim Hook states that no one has produced a case where the castle doctrine would have helped. Hmm?? Looks like there is 2 right here in our county.
If this bill were law, both cases would have had different outcomes. Keep pushing Mr.Alloway, law abiding citizens need this change to protect themselves from criminals.
