Kudos to the volunteers who pick trash up along the highways and risk their lives doing so. I agree highly with your comments and it disgusts me on all the trash that is thrown out along the highways. Keep a bag in your vehicle to place your trash in and then throw it away when you get home. Too bad the persons responsible for throwing out this trash are unknown cause they sure deserve a garbage truck load dumped in their yard to learn their lesson. Can't we try harder to make Pennsylvania beautiful.

It's all about your upbringing. If you are taught not to care about others property than you never will.

The only problem with this letter is that none of the folks who throw trash from vehicles will read it!

A lot of them probably already have a garbage truck load ... more or less ... spread around their yards!

Use prisoners to do this work. Many others state do, PA should too.

So-called people who throw trash from their vehicles should just open their doors and throw themselves along the side of the road....lay there and fade and get grungy and litter up the highways and byways and let their own families see how ugly it looks...maybe it would have an effect on their perception of what junk looks like.

Altho....I'm quite sure as someone else posted their own homes and yards are in the same condition so they want everywhere to look like home to them.

Yes let the jailbirds clean up...they sometimes do do this I've observed them doing this. Keep at it....we have enough of them in there that we have to support. Let them earn their keep....

Thank you for your efforts to clean up Franklin County. people get so used to littering that it becomes an unconscious habit, just like the pigs who throw their cigarette butts out the car window.

Along with bottles and cans were a ton of these free papers that public opinion throws out every where that nobody wants along with massive amounts of phone books that again nobody wants, the public opinion should stop littering!

Again this morning I notice the orange bags laying all up and down main street with some paper that nobody wants. What a shame people clean up garbage and public opinion throws more out.....
