too bad there wasn't a trial. something doesn't seem right. there was too much occuring behind closed doors. the DA needs replaced. vote for someone else. and fellows don't think you can do the same and get the same leniant treatment. Its who you know in this area that counts (or who you have something on)

You're sick, with no sense of reality whatsoever. Of course, you've been getting all your information courtesy of this rag of a newspaper, and a reporter, who doesn't bother to get the entire story. Anyone ever heard of half truths, telling half the truth is repeating a lie.
Promise to tell the truth, the whole truth, so help you God. There's a reason that is a part of our court system, too bad the Public Opinion doesn't hold the same standard for it's reporters. Whatcha gonna report on next week? Whoya gonna try to destroy next week with this rag? Ahhhh, wonderful small town living at its best. Devour eachother like animals, you make me sick to my stomach, and that goes for Tuttle also.
Your stupid and none of this makes any sense!

People get more time arrested for drug dealing don't they? This was a beautiful life contributing to society. If it would have been in the state of MD, it would have been a whole different story, and last night certainly wouldn't have been his FIRST night in jail.

Our judicial system in FC stinks ! Kids on drugs and worse roaming the streets, selling at school, no one cares or does anything about it. Beautiful people serving their community killed brutally in what should have been the peacefulness of their own home, and the killer is slapped on the wrist...what is the world coming to....my heartfelt sympathy to the family members friends and coworkers of this beautiful young woman....someone has to reconsider this man's penalty....there must be a way to have that done...I hope those of the courthouse don't rest until he is put away for good.....

Would you rather he get some time or no time. A jury trail would have had to found him guilty of first degree murder, if found not guilty, he serves no time.

It's real easy to look from the outside to the inside.

This is tragic and senseless. He will have to live with this for the rest of his life.

The more details we get, the more questions I have.

This sounds like a tough case. I still think it should have went to trial, though.

There's a deep, dark secret behind this story and the only living person who knows it is taking it to state prison with him.... nothing but tragedy here for all parties involved.

Poor man lost his wife, Now has to spend the next 6 years in jail,What does that have to do to with contributing to society. What does jail do . It was an accident a mistake, Its not like a drug dealer,or a thief that plans on crime. He should have got probation. The man has never been in trouble before, a spotless record.Thats what is wrong with todays society also, A marriage is for life you just don't throw that away after 1 year. Maybe he just could not take it anymore. Total bull the whole case stinks he should be back at work contributing to society, not in jail with tax payers taking care of him. Jail is worthless, It makes NO sense.

I agree with the Public Opinion making this guy out to be a jerk... I know more then what the papers say cause I know people who know the families... And its not like you have a cold hearted killer shooting his wife and getting away with it. It was a ACCIDENT!!!! There is way more to this story then the papers say... This paper makes him out to be a bad guy getting away with murder... I hope everyone involved recovers from this tragedy including Chris. I would be angry too if I were her parents.. I understand both sides I mean how could parents honestly ever be ok ...I guess there is a reason this paper is called the public opinion cause its basically their opinion sometimes how they write.

I'm not really sure what to think. I knew Chris in School but I guess people can change. But I don't think it was intentional. On the other hand, had it not been for his actions She would still be alive.

The facts of this crime were with held by our fantastic D.A., Mr. Fogal. Deals were made in private that shouldn't have been made. Fogal watched well as his former boss bent the law to suit his needs, and has followed suit! 2nd or 3rd degree murder would have been more appropriate considering the facts released. Too bad our Judges don't do their jobs and file charges sginst Fogal for abuse of his office. But that would be right? Can't have that, can we?

Sometimes marriage IS something you DO throw away after 1 year when you have made a mistake. It happens. No one should have to live a miserable existance unless they choose to stay.
