Funk and Pellicano are peeing into the wind. Both aspire to become county commissioners and after May 17 they'll still be aspirants. Judy Pellicano's attempt to take blame for failing to file the finance report does not remove the candidate's personal responsibility to ensure he complies with all requirements. Failure to file the report is not a confidence builder that Pellicano would be a good steward of the public's business.

"Pellicano paid a $100 fine on Friday". GREAT - He and Funk are NOT the kind of people we need leading this county.
I support all of the incumbents. They have shown intelligent fiscal responsibility this last term and will serve us well the next. Plus they have a history of working well together.

The yellow warning letter ...what a waste of valuable campaign money and resources...it clearly shows me how these two clowns (Pellicano and Funk)operate.

I guess the Tea party was afraid the Incumbents would retaliate for the Taj Mahal lie.

Dirty tricks indeed. Send out a letter saying their opponents are smearing them when they have not.

Dirty & sneaky are not traits we should want for our commissioners.

Enough about the commissioner race. Where is the news story about the man who is running for a county row office who was listed in the Public Opinion a couple of years ago for not paying his real estate taxes. He wants a county salary even though he and his wife did not pay their county and school district taxes. The sheriff had to list their names in the Public Opinion to get them to pay their taxes. This is a matter of public record. Why is the Public Opinion not reporting this news?

ONE FINAL ATTEMPT. And you say you're not doing a smear campaign. You’ve been doing it for weeks. THE PROOF IS RIGHT HERE!!! And the PEOPLE OF FRANKLIN COUNTY ARE TOO SMART TO FALL FOR IT! Again this will be a day full of mud slinging. WHY?- Because the INCUMBENTS CAN’T BE SUPPORTED BY THEIR RECORD.

“That warning letter is a tactic that does not belong in local politics," Thomas said. "It's never been done in Franklin County that I can remember.” COME ON BOB… BAD MEMORY?? Still haven’t called off your henchmen (where’s Zippy)? After 16 years Bob, did you really have to resort to a campaign like this? Don’t you have any dignity left? DESPERATE PEOPLE…

Bob, you think shaking hands and kissing babies 24-7 makes you a good commissioner. WRONG! It makes you a good politician. YOU TALK to the people, but YOU DON‘T LISTEN TO THE PEOPLE.

Time for Thomas to go!!!

HAVE AT IT BOB! So sad……

Franklin County is in better shape than most. We have better employment than most.

Franklin County has not only attracted but maintained a good manufacturing base.

Franklin County taxes are not high.

These are all things that say Thomas & Keller probably are doing a good job.

When your tea party candidates stoop to a warning letter, you know exactly what to expect from them.

Thomas & Keller on Tuesday. They will have my vote. Why change a good thing.

Who cares, their all bums! Lies lies and more lies. There are no true candidates anymore who REALLY CARE ABOUT THE PEOPLE AND CHAMBERSBURG! I have seen them come and go. This is nothing new and until qualified people stand up and run for office, we will always have poor choices. Corruption among them all!

What is Bob Thomas talking about? These tactics haven't been used in Franklin County before? They were used against Senator Hawbaker, against Chris Sheffield, against Taylor by Alloway? For all we know there are thousands of attack pieces of mail on Funk and Pellicano that have been held back because of the "Warning" mailing.

I got that letter last week and it perturbed me. It seemed so out of place for this election, very immature.
I'm voting for Bob and Dave. They behave with dignity.

Thomas has got to be kidding that he can't remember it being done in Franklin County! Maybe it is because he is so self-centered that if it does not involve him he does not care to notice!

It is/has been happening to Linda Beard, Pat Heraty, and others. The PO took a shot at CRG. It happened in the past to Twigg and Rock. People on this blog have had the audacity to comment on Dan's wife and kids.

Folks know better. It always happens when the incumbents are running scared.

I question how "scared" the incumbents are, considering they aren't the ones sending out a pre-attack mail piece. Looks to me like Funk and Pellicano are freaking out.

I also seem to remember the Funk and Pellicano Tea Party camp sending out letters before the 2010 primary (paid for by the Franklin Co Republican Party which Taylor bankrupted) that attacked anyone that they didn't like. Baseless charges throughout and support of random county committee candidates that nobody has ever heard of before, claiming they've worked for the party for years. So truth be told, if anyone is guilty of desperate and unethical campaign tactics.....it's the local Tea Party.

As with many things in life, the high road is path of winners. This election on Tuesday will simply be another example of how those that simply do the work and let their record speak for itself come out on top.

Dave and Bob in 2011!

Thomas is always forgetful when it’s convenient. AND ANYONE WHO THINKS HE’S TAKING THE HIGH ROAD IS FOOLISH. He’s the one orchestrating the mud slinging. As I said before… So sad!

The only ones who are campagning with negativity and smear tactics are mr Funk and Mr Pelicano. and if another letter is out on monday, it will have been sent by Pelicano, Funk, Taylor, Pilla, and Pace and be made to look like an attack on them by the incumbents. These tactics will backfire on them, because the voters of Franklin County will not fall for this farce. Kellrrt and Thomas will prevail, because Funk and Pelicano have not given us a good altrnative to the incumbents.

Could the row office candidate who claims to have an undergraduate degree from a state university in Pennsylvania produce his degree? A review of the commencement records at that college's library does not list his name. Come on Public Opinion please ask to see a copy of his degree.
