Sheriff Zach Scott Texting and Driving
NOT FAKED AND WHY 2

@ SOME GUY in Canton, OH or ANY other non believers. Take a real close look at the rear window of the Sheriff car. Under the Truck you will see the guard rail. Proportion states that that rail is less than 10 feet from the far side of the truck meaning that the truck is in the far right lane next to a shoulder either on a curve or an overpass. This information means 2 thing. There is no light to be stopped at AND there is no intersection to be stopped at. Also I do not know of any 6 lane highway (3 lanes each direction) anywhere in the nation where there is 2 Left turn lanes and one straight lane. Now for the image in the side mirror of the picture takers vehicle. The picture taker is in the Front passenger seat and the image is not a white truck but the car that the picture taker is in meaning that image is still. If you doubt me, take time and try an experiment, sit in the passenger seat of a car with properly adjusted mirrors to the driver and see what you see in the image. Being liberal, conservative, or anything else has nothing to do with people in power abusing their power or feeling they are above the law.

Anyone that thinks this is fake needs to pull their head out of their ass. The semi is obviously heading the opposite direction of the pic and sheriff cars. Google it and the pig admits it to be true. So anyone that says its fake is just plain ignorant.
Pig? really that statement alone puts your credibility at zero. Tell me what would it look like if a sheriff was parked next to you texting and a truck was driving by in the back? Hmm just like this picture. Again Pig? really you a##wipe.

I totally agree! And I would love to see what that state law wording is. In our state, it exempts law enforcement if it is in the line of their duty. It's not all about radios anymore folks!

I'm not saying I think it's real or fake but the semi is not moving in the opposite direction of the police car. It's got to be facing the same direction. Unless the company printed the word OHIO backwards on the truck, which I doubt.

Sounds like someone's trying make excuses for someone who's OBVIOUSLY in the wrong and cover their own ass. You say its fake?...then prove it, smart guy.

Maybe the photo is real. However, let's look at this. Let's assume this is in America (safe assumption).
1) If truck is going opposite direction then how is cop driving? We drive on the right. So, not possible.
2) If truck is driving in the same direction
a) truck is going much faster than a cop - yeah right. No trucker in their right mind would speed past a cop
b) look at how much distance there is between cop and truck. That is one SERIOUSLY wide road and with cars on other side too?

Here is what I REALLY think the picture shows.
a Cop parked on the side of the road with other cars beside him, especially with him using 2 hands to text and given no blurry image on either his car or the one beside him.

Yes, maybe the chief did give a lecture but I SERIOUSLY doubt it was because of this picture. Some of you mention some link but this picture is not with that link. Maybe he had complaints about policemen using cell phones while driving but NOT from this picture. Prove me wrong, show me a page with THIS picture and the cops saying yes, he was driving while texting like this picture shows. Sorry, you won't find!

Don't always believe what people tell you!

It doesn't prove that the cop car was in motion. The semi actually makes it appear that the cop car was at a stop. And look at the bottom left. Looks like the pic was snapped from a motorcycle or something and it is entirely too close to the cop car which makes me further think that the picture taker and cop car were at a stop.

Umm, where in the United States do people drive on the left? Of course the semi is heading in the opposite direction, but that would mean that the sheriff's care is either on the right shoulder, in a parking lot next to the highway, or parked at a rest area. Of course the pic is real, but people are seeing what they want to see.
Or a multi lane highway which is everywhere in the United States.
I bet you feel stupid now that this has been proven to be true lol

In fact all you people who said this was fake...I bet you all feel stupid since this was determined as a real photo. Trying to be all CSI and pointing out the "obvious" flaws in the photo lol idiots.

It's hard to really tell if Zach Scott was texting while driving. The truck being blurred happens when an object is moving past the camera and the camera is still. The person in the car taking the photo could have been going the same speed, making Zack's car not blurred. The only way to really tell if the Sheriff was texting and driving was if it showed the road. If the road was also blurred then he would definately be in motion. Does the person who took the photo have any more with the road showing?

Zach Scott cheats on his wife regularly. I know 3 of the women he slept with over the years. It's amazing this has not been an issue in the election. Apparently integrity is no longer a characteristic worthy of the Sheriff. Don't worry folks, when the asshole gets elected he will go the way of former Sheriff Walter Davis. Scott won't keep his cock tied down for the next 4 years.

Umm, in the United States people do drive on the highways. In bigger cities the highways do have 3 or 4 lanes that go in the same direction. So it's possible for people to be on the left side of the road, in the middle of the road, & on the right side of the road. I'm against texting while driving, but I did want to get my point out there...just saying.

The cop and photo taker are in two left-hand turn lanes and the truck is in a straight lane on a green light (hence he's moving and the lettering is blurred). Obviously the white car (the one taking the photo) and the cop are stopped. Look in the side view mirror of the white car - you can clearly see a vehicle very close to the back end of the white car. Even idiots don't drive that close to each other. FURTHERMORE, if the cop AND/OR white car were moving, the sheriff star and word "SHERIFF" would be blurry, just like the truck's "PITT OHIO" is.
Also, the truck is not going in the opposite direction of the cop car and white car. Just look at the writing - it says "PITT OHIO", but I only know this b/c I live in Ohio. Even if you don't, just seeing the word "OHIO" written as is, you know which way it was traveling.
Sheriff Scott probably did remind his force about personal phone use while driving HOWEVER, I highly doubt it was in the way that the media portrays it. Scott probably sent out an inter-office email or notification, showed the picture, said "This is ridiculous and don't do it again." Cops in Ohio are allowed to use their cell phones while driving for business use only. There's no real way without a ton of fuss (and $$) to prove if this cop was using it for official use or not. I'm sure Scott only said something b/c of the public uproar.
I agree with you. AND even if he was texting and driving... they are trained to multi task when they drive. They have months, and months of training on how to operate their laptop and radar detector while driving. Everyone is so critical of the police and scrutinize every action that they do. Lay off, they put their bums on the line to protect rude people like these posters.

For those who are saying the pic has been messed with or is a fake.....no it is a real pic and was a real situation. The officer admitted to texting with both hands as he was driving just as the pic shows and received 2 week suspension without pay and was also given a citation for his offense.

Look at the side mirrors...the car of the 'photographer' appears to have cement flooring....the op car has a pretty 'clear' visual of the trees as a landscape. It's clearly 'somewhat' altered.

If the police saw you driving down the road doing that they couldn't stop you for doin it, just like they can't top you for not weaing a seatbelt. Read the law, it's a joke. Now go out and report some real crime instead of hiding like the coward you are when you see a crime.

In Ohio the police can't stop you for texting and driving, just like they can't stop you for not wearing a seat belt. Read the law, it's a joke. Besides, police are exempt. Now go out and report some real crime instead of being too scared to get involved because you are a coward.
