Since you're so smart about fake pictures, why didn't you do your homework before commenting. Apparently Sheriff Zach Scott's office did indeed have a meeting with the other officers about texting and driving, as it WAS a real photo. And furthermore, it turns out that it is LEGAL for law enforcement to text while driving IF it is work related - which also goes against the recent statewide texting ban. Go figure. Enacting laws that law enforcers do not have to abide by or enforce themselves.

Here is the article concerning the above:

"If we had to pull over every single time we were using a piece of technology, we wouldn't be able to get anything done," said Sgt. Rich Weiner with the Columbus Division of Police.
Well now you know how we feel, dickhead.

This picture is soooo real and I cant belive that anyone would think of it as fake. The police departments will always find a way to make it OK that they break the law and put people in danger by texting.....just wait until someone gets killed over this and see what happens when someone sues the crap out of this police department.Their is NO REASON at all why the police have to text when their cars all have radio in them...oal yeah and computers...hahahaha what a joke...taxpayers are paying for this shit.

If it is not a fake, why isn't the wording on the Sheriff's car not blurred like the semi?

Because you apparently don't have the cranial capacity to understand that the deputy was more than likely doing a lesser speed than the semi, and the photo vehicle was pacing the deputy in order to get the snapshot. If it isn't real, why would the Sheriff, Zach Scott, give an interview on the subject and warn his deputies about personal texting? You know, if you don't use your head, you may as well have two assholes...

Anyone that thinks this is fake needs to pull their head out of their ass. The semi is obviously heading the opposite direction of the pic and sheriff cars. Google it and the pig admits it to be true. So anyone that says its fake is just plain ignorant.

It is legal to call emergency services while driving for any citizen, even in my state, where it is illegal to use cell phones and text while driving for personal use.

So exactly what was done to this officer ,slap on the hand. Was he find. We have a right to know. Set a good example , a fine and suspension to let the public know this wasn't swept under the rug.

Umm, where in the United States do people drive on the left? Of course the semi is heading in the opposite direction, but that would mean that the sheriff's care is either on the right shoulder, in a parking lot next to the highway, or parked at a rest area. Of course the pic is real, but people are seeing what they want to see.

The photo is not a fake. How many times have you been you been passed by another vehicle? On the left side of your car right? Seriously! As for the blur, smartphones now can take a better photo than a camera can, such as my iPhone. I get great photos of idiots in their cars updating their Facebook page while I'm in the passenger seat of my Freightliner looking down at them. As for when it's appropriate to text & drive: never. This policeman was so wrapped up in his text that he never noticed a 80,000 lb vehicle pacing him. If he didn't see THAT, he damn sure didn't see what's in front of him.

Really? Cause in Ohio all commercial trucks have a lower speed limit than all other vehicles. Ya know they can only go 55 while all others can go 65. Moron
