Actually, you think you know more than you know.
If you know about my cases, have at it. Right here, little girl.

Maybe nobody explained to mom that since he didn't have any money, he would have had a lawyer appointed for free, and I'm not talking about public defenders.
I'm talking about real lawyers who get cases from the appointment list. They bill the county at a reduced rate, but they get the more heavy duty cases like this one.
That's right EBob! My wife's best friend is an attorney who is swamped with court appointed cases! She showed my wife a check for $28k just for two months of work!!! My wife works part time as her personal assistant.

Who said anything about knowing about your cases? What a nut.

You did, little girl. I was there every step of the way and had it all explained to me...filing of motions, affidavits, production of documents, subpoenas, billing, you name it.

I didn't say you weren't knowledgeable about whatever transpired in your own divorce Mark.

Pay attention.

Like I said, though. Somebody gave her some really bad advice from a common sense standpoint.
Given that this is a case with some gravity, her son would have gotten an attorney from the county appointment list. Her son would have gotten what are generally pretty good attorneys without her having to go into hock for a loser of a case like this.
Yep. On the state's nickel.

Experience with one case doesn't make you knowledgable about an entire discipline. It makes you knowledgeable about one case. Hence my statement, you don't know as much as you think you know.

That woman is doing something funny if she got that check for two months of court appointed work. The court appointed rate is generally $40/hour out of court and $50/hour in court. Do the math.

Whatever she's doing she does it well. Just had her entire private bathroom remodel with a walk-in glass shower and separate jacuzzi, and the basement turned into an entertainment center complete with an children's play gym on one side..slide, playhouse, and mini movie theater! Has a 2013 Lexus SUV and Lexus car. Offered my wife a $10k loan to help open a day care center. Those are the kind of friends one needs in tough times.
