Prison term for sexual predator

A Moira man was sentenced Monday to five years in state prison for sexually abusing a then 12-year-old girl in 2003.

If the victim was so rattled by this ALLEGED situation, why didn't her mother get her counseling. Maybe it is because, this whole story was fabricated at a different time with adults behind the story. Why did her mother wait so many years to report it? Why did the girl continue to go to his house if this really happened? Questions I think the jury should have asked themselves before convicting an innocent man. Think about it.

She did get counseling through church first of all! Her mother didn't report it someone else did and the police were going to arrest our mother for child neglect for not reporting it, thats why we told the police finally.. We weren't going to let our mother get in trouble because she did what we asked her too! We didn't want to go to court we were strong enough that we wanted to move on with our lives. She didn't go over there after it happened.. get your facts straight. he was convicted because the jury knew she was telling the truth and he should be in prison. Obviously I have made it clear who I am and I am sick of people sticking up for sexual offenders. I know a lot more now than I did back then and if I would have told then maybe it wouldn't have happened to my sister.. Maybe if my cousin would have told it wouldn't have happened to me.. Maybe if his Nieces would have went to the police instead of just keeping it in the family until someone else told for us it wouldn't have happened to any of us because my cousin's mother wouldn't have been with him. Why don't you tell that story seeings you think you know so much about the truth? What about his nieces who waited too long and now they can't have their justice too? I never would ruin someone's life if they didn't deserve it and he deserves to be in prison.. just like every other sex offender that takes something away from a child! So Just me you think about it.. I am not asking you to change your opinion, just giving some facts that you seem to forget and letting people know that read this that he is not an innocent man!

I hope just me that your kids don't get molested by someone because Im afraid that you would believe the molester instead of your kids. And It is people like you that keep gateway motel open so sex offenders can stay around our children and keep molesting and raping them! I hope that if your child ever came to you and didn't want to go to the cops that you don't because you will only be hurting your child. My kids weren't ready to go through this. They are strong now, but still not strong enough to go through what they have in the last 11 months. Honestly If you think this was fabricated so I would lose my ONLY sister you need your head checked! Why would my kids fabricate this? Why would Matt fabricate this? Why would he write a letter admitting he did it if it was fabricated?! You might want to get your facts straight before bringing them up. My child did get councelling. Her youth leader is a councellor and she went to her with her problems. If you want to take this farther ask me personally. Don't go online and start crap. Ask my kids they will gladly tell you the facts!
