She wasn't.:(
just a seatbelt. Not only is it illegal, it's terribly dangerous. I believe state minimums are car seat until 4yo, booster until 8yo AND 4'9". But legal minimums aren't best practice. Even well behaved children usually aren't booster ready until 5 or 6. Go to http://www.joelsjourney.org and Google the Kyle David Miller Foundation.

I wasn't being hateful, I was speaking tgw truth. And putting what should be common sense out there for other parents if they haven't actually learned it already: )

. In an eight-teen wheeler/ semi truck a child does not have to be in car seat booster. My father is a truckdriver and when I was that age I would go with him all the time. And I agree with meme post let the family greive and don't sit there and blame and run your mouth about a mother and her family. They lost a huge part of their life also not just the father. Last time I checked there were usually 2 parents a mother and a father!!

Right. Legal doesn't always equal best practice. Just because you can let a small child roamthe whole truck doesn't mean ya should. You're quoting legal minimums. When child safety is concerned, legal minimums are never best practice. Case in point here.

AND I never mentioned the mother or father in my post?
AND I didn't say she should have been in a booster either. She should have been in an actual car seat. She COULD have probably been rear facing still. Things like this are horribly sad results of horribly poor judgement, and are examples to prevent future losses.

The loss it's self is the only example needed to help prevent future loss, their is no need to place all this blame, This is hurtful to EVERYONE who knew her, to gossip about a child's death in a forum is beyond any form of tactless trash I've ever seen! This baby is gone! Her grandmother knows the situation, if you think you can make her feel worse, your wrong, and it is actually illegal for her to be in there at all, they changed the laws, but I still do not think that justifies what you are doing! You people are low, and this actually surprised me, I didn't think the trash in this area could surprise me anymore, but congrats, you did it!
