Northern & Southern Berkshire county has become a drug infested Crap hole! Its pathetic how it has been ALLOWED to deteriorate. I used to be proud to say I was born and raised there. Now I am just short of ashamed to have any ties albeit distant to that area. So sad!! Seems that the likes of Mike Deep and others like him have promoted a welfare enviroment.

People from Florida should not be mentioning the name of Mike Deep in there comnents when he has nothing to do with any of these properties. Why don't you find out who owns these properties and metion their names. Two of them were clearly hotels one which is a chain motel. Mike Deeps properties that are rented are well kept up all with the proper certificates for occupation ,.Kept up by a well paid Maintenance crew. The city should be proud to have a home grown landlord who spends thousands yearly in upkeep, donates thousands to local cherities, and employs about fifteen people and keeps them off the rolls you are talking about. Get your facts straight before you start posting bloggs based on other peoples opinions.

I am just happy that this time the task force was able to capture proprieters of hard drugs, and not settle for using our tax dollars on incarcerating teens from southcounty on "conspiracy to sell" marijuana.

In response to the FL post, Mike Deep is just one of the many scum-lords we have praying on the Fed money here. These lords of the slums have those guaranteed welfare funds keeping their "homes" for lack of a better term rented. I have to agree this place has turned in to a ghetto of sorts. Parts of Pittsfield for example has turned in to a mini Albany / Harlem.

I'm w- Heller. Give me a break, a few G's and as handgun, whatever. Eagle makes it sound like we're all dried up... maybe a few are for a day. As for the Harlem/ALB comment, whatever. A few blocks here and there w- a few wannabee OG's, not an issue.

Well reguarless of the other comments, its still better for them to have taken at least these drugs off of the streets. A few less drug dealers to deal with in the area. And also a few less children living in an unstable enviroment. Congrats to the Pittsfield Police Department for thier hard work, keep it up!

Girl, agreed, especially regarding the children, makes me sick to hear they are living under these circumstances. But again, Eagle makes it sound like it was a H-U-G-E bust, and it is not.

I do agree with GHeller, less than 10K is not much in the grand scheme of things. All this work and so many resources, but for what-the same amount a high school drug dealer in Springfield carries in his pocket? Has anybody looked at the amount of money the task force makes during these investigations? Do the ends justify the means? I mean, when you have cops living like CEO's-something is wrong!!!!!

I can't blame this recent drug raid on Mike Deep but I can state that his properties do bring the rifraf that we are trying to get rid of. Not to long ago he had adds in NY papers advertising 1st month rent for free! Tell me that doesn't attract dealers that can't sit still too long! I talk from experience! And...thousand of dollars for all of his properties is chump change - do you rent from him out there in Goshen?
