How many more young people have to die before something serious is done about legal & illegal drugs in this town. Prescription med abuse is an epidemic. There are some really neat kids in this town, lets get them a chance to grow up.

Stop and look at the ratio of public aid, losers, and low lifes in this county to Police Officers. Yeah there is a prescription drug problem in Illinois....not just West Frankfort. It all starts with the Dr's who prescribe these medications....which is legal! Maybe the parents should be parents first and there would not be such a problem with prescription drug. If they would teach them right from wrong this would not happen. Do not be so quick to blame the police at first.

Maybe if local law enforcement had at least one full functioning brain between all the members they could become effective.

The local PD's as well as the FCSO are overflowing with incompetent jerkoffs who are can barely tie their own shoes.

So Im guessing that your a working tax payer in the county....doubt that. Or maybe your so upset with the lawenforcement in the county is because you have been arrested by them at some point in your life! And let me guess......you didnt do it and the cops made it all up

there are an awful lot of adults, most who are parents, who provide our young kids with alcohol, which is ILLEGAL to do. nothing ever happens to those people regardless of whether the police are told or not. ridiculous!

I agree with you I Hate Drugs. Travis was a good kid and a good man. I have known him since I was little! I also knew Jeremy as well. They were both good men. Drugs are all over the world in peoples lives... good people, bad people its EVERY WHERE! I mean look at the Sherrif of Shawneetown.. He was arrested on drug charges and now murder to hire? What the heck is the world coming to? R.I.P Jeremy We Love You & Miss You!!! and hang in there Travis We Love You Too!

people need to wake up....drugs affect all of our children....and stop blaming everyone else and raise your kids...kids left to run the streets and raise themselves get into trouble. Be a parent...do your job....quit blaming others.

no what everyone needs to know is it doesnt matter who are or what kind of house you come from, you can still wind up addicted to many things if you dont watch yourself. addiction is not racist, unlike alot of people here in good ole franklin county.

People always have to make it racism. That is bull. Leave the racism out of this. I think you are the one who has the problem with racism.

im not the one making it about racism! the people above me talking about how its only the public aid losers are! and im simply trying to clarify that is not the truth, so take a deep breath honey! ive known plenty of kids or teens from back in my day that were pill heads or worst and had mommy's and daddy's that were making excellent money. every thread you read on here has numerous comments about the public aid losers or the black people or something racist, and im with you they need to shut up! so dont go attacking me on here!
