This both saddens and disturbs me. I so hope this poor man is found safe, and then put in the care of someone more responsible. The fact that the family "say he suffers from dementia" and allows him to drive convinces me he they are unable to make responsible choices where he is concerned. I had a 90 year old man run me into a ditch with his truck and I was pregant! When his family expected me to feel sorry for him, because they did not want to hurt his pride by taking away his keys...I told them to tell it to the judge! What if he caused a wreck causing harm or worse to someone else? I had to take my mom's keys from her, and that is not an easy thing to do, but the responsiable thing to do.

Just because he has dementia don't mean he isn't fully capable. You need to know the facts before you sit in judgement of this man and his family. I have an Uncle who has had Alzheimers for almost 3 years and up until the last 6 months he was fully capable of going and doing as always. He doesn't drive anymore now. I'm sorry about what happened to you, but that doesn't mean this man is in the same shape. We should be in prayer and supportive of this family.

I know this man and it never dawned on me that he would get lost like he did. He has been found and is okay. I'm sure the family will take proper precautions in the future.

sorry you got run off the road, but you better realize someday you will be older and hopefully it wont happen to you. think before you judge someone else. any time you get on the road you probably have had a jerk thats been drinking or a real dummy talking on a cell phone or texting now thats stupid.

Dear Ms Seaoftears

I am the daughter of Hoyt Lane--what a cruel heartless comment you have made against our family--and no-he will not be placed in the care of someone more responsible! My family is one of the most loving and caring families you will ever see and to think of someone else taking care of him is not even an option!! Just please remember that one day (if God grants you the opportunity) that you too will grow old and may lose some of you freedoms! Also, I do hope and pray you think twice in the future before you are so quick to make these cruel comments regarding other articles you might wish to respond to.

Daily Horoscope for January 3

Taurus

The steadier you are now, the better: this is not the time to throw caution to the wind and be exceptionally attentive to details. If anything, labour the point and you'll find in a few days' time that you are really glad you did. Friends will be able to give your morale a big boost at the moment, if you're in need of support. Team relationships and efforts work tremendously well at the moment. Why fly solo if you don't need to?
