OWNERS SHOULD HAVE RIGHT TO DECIDE IF THEY WANT SMOKING IN THERE BUSINESS, NOT THE GOVERNMENT. GOVERNMENT IS TRYING TO PUT A FEATHER IN THERE CAP, WHEN IN REALITY ITS ANOTHER WAY TO GET MONEY AND MORE TAXES FROM US , BECAUSE THEY THROW AWAY OUR MONEY OR MISUSE IT TIL THEY SAY WE ARE BROKE .SO THEY COME UP WITH SELF MADE LAWS TO GET MORE MONEY . THIS GOVERNMENT IS GETTING LIKE INSURANCE COMPANIES AND OIL COMPANIES,GREEDY.HEALTH IS NOT GOING TO GET ANY BETTER BY PUTTING THESE BANS ON SMOKING OR ANYTHING ELSE. THE AIR WE BREATH HAS MORE POLUTIONS THAT ARE WAY MORE DANGEROUS THAN ANY SMOKE . RAIL ROADING BUSSINESS AND INDIVIDUALS BECAUSE THEY SMOKE OR ALOW SMOKING IN THERE BUSSINESS AND THREATING WITH FINES ARE LIKE COMMUNISM WAKE UP PEOPLE BEFORE ITS TO LATE

As a life-long non-smoker, it's about time! I never thought that I would live to see this and I am so glad that my daughter will not have to endure the horrible smell and gross habits of smokers when she goes out to eat!
By the way, if smokers are so concerned about their rights, may be they should be forced to pick up all of those butts that they are constantly throwing out their car window or on the ground!

Just another way for States to get more money. Where is the money for all these fines and things? Oh yea thats right in their pockets. I am sick of The so called government telling us what we can and cannot do.

Perhaps you should be forced to pick up your butt and haul it to North F'n Korea where it belongs!

Illinois is helping to keep its bowling alleys by exempting them from "slip and fall" lawsuits caused by wet bowling shoes.

I'm glad you can't park on lawns in High Point now. So many innocent blades of grass are slaughtered EACH DAY!

Now my kids can frolic freely in the fescue without having to run into the neighbor's Packard.

So help me...

I don't like smoky restaurants when I'm trying to eat but I don't believe the government should be involved in this.

If a restaurant wants my business they can ban smoking on their own. We love Cracker Barrel but don't go anymore because it is one of the smokiest restaurants we've been to.

Less government would be good.

But will your daughter be spared the risk of being ran over by the drunk that just ate/drank at the smokeless restaurant? Maybe the Govt. should start looking at YOUR activities too I'm sure there's something you do that needs to be outlawed too like perhaps sticking your nose in others business or stomping on other peoples rights?

Exactly! I'm a non-smoker and I hate these kinds of laws while a policeman is busy handing someone a ticket inside a restaurant for smoking, someone out back is getting raped but hey it's all good as long as we stop smoking.

Oh well it's all good even as a non-smoker I'm going to do my part to make sure some local business suffers a little because of this by not eating out, I already avoid bars so that part doesn't matter loss of my business won't effect them because they've never had it nothing but a bunch of drunken slobs in there.

Heck we don't need any more laws... we just need to deport all the anti-smokers to North F'n Korea where they'll fit in!

I understand the smoking thing...former smoker...but why the no cars on lawns? i have seen some of the "drive-ways" around, and frankly that is unfair to some people. Not to mention....PERSONAL PROPERTY! I could understand maybe a limit on how many or not having any pieces of crud cars sitting there rusting away. I believe it to be unfair to some homeowners who have small driveways and can not fit more then one or two cars in. I would rather see cars on lawns than on the street too..since in some places it can be hazardous or just nervracking. and god forbid you have company. Anyway Stupid waste of time law.

these ppl will learn when there is half the business they used to have in their restaraunts. md did this law too and ppl stopped going out to eat and alot of places closed up because of it. if you dont like the smoke then sit iin the non smoking area. maybe they should have just required better ventalation in the restaraunts for the whiney butts instead of hurting the economy even more. i know that me and my family will not be going out to eat now if i cant sit down and smoke while i'm waiting for my food.

If you want to smoke, keep it to your self! I don't smoke and don't want to have to breathe your stinking air. You obviously want to get cancer, COPD and other breathing ailments and that is your choice. Funny thing is, when you die of these problems, the first thought of the people who loved you most is, "They wouldn't have had to die like this if they didn't smoke."
