We have had so called water shortages for as long as I can remember, and will continue to have this problem for years to come. Our state and local goverments are the worst offenders when it comes to water conservation. Mis-managed growth can be attributed to most of our water woes. The fines are just another revenue source which will be used for some goverment workers retirement party!!!

Just called the mansion, they admitted to having the sprinklers on.

I complained to them and I stated that they need to turn off the water and let their lawn die like every one elses

They should be the first people setting an example.

water is one of our God-given natural resources. yes there are too many people living in the atl but it is everyone's responsibility, including the government, to conserve water until we can get enough rain to get lake lanier to the full level. we should appreciate what we DO have-there are some countries that don't have half the amount of water that we have. as for the offenders-if u do the crime u pay the time.

I WORK IN A GOLF COUNTRY CLUB COMMUNITY AND THE REALISSUE IS THE RICHER YOU ARE THE FURTHER YOU ARE ABOVE THE LAW. I AM PART OF THE SECURITY TEAM THERE, AND WE ARE SUPPOSED TO REMIND THE RESIDENTS OF THE RESTRICTIONS, AND HALF OF THEM ARE WASHING CARS, LEAVING THE HOSE GOING WHILE THEY DO WHAT EVER THAT IS NOT IMPORTANT LIKE WASHING THEIR DRIVEWAYS OR HOUSES, AND WHEN SEDCURITY SAYS SOMETHING TO THEM THEY SAY OF WELL WRITE ME A TICKET. (THESE HOMES ARE $2.5 MILLION PLUS) IF WE EVER ACTUALLY RUN OUT OF WATER, THEY WILL BE THE FIRST ONES CRYING ABOUT NOT HAVING ANY.

"A FOOL and his money is soon parted" P.T. Barnum

Anyone who bows down to a Water Department and pleads guilty to a "crime" charge from a Utility is a FOOL. The Utility has ZERO jurisdiction over the citizen, and can not compel, order, or mandate nor enact rules and regulations governing the conduct of citizens except by "Due Process of Law". The courts do not have jurisdiction over any citizen unless by a sworn complaint by a victim, OR the citizen, through ignorance, waives the Courts lack of jurisdiction.

TITLE 15. COURTS
CHAPTER 1. GENERAL PROVISIONS

O.C.G.A.§ 15-1-2 (2006)

§ 15-1-2. No jurisdiction by consent; when lack of personal jurisdiction may be waived

Parties may not give jurisdiction to a court by consent, express or implied, as to the person or subject matter of an action. However, lack of jurisdiction of the person may be waived, insofar as the rights of the parties are concerned, but not so as to prejudice third persons.

HISTORY: Orig. Code 1863,§ 3389; Code 1868,§ 3408; Code 1873,§ 3460; Code 1882,§ 3460; Civil Code 1895,§ 5079; Civil Code 1910,§ 5663; Code 1933,§ 24-112.
