School boards and Teachers Associations are very powerful political lobbyist when it comes to tax matters and, perhaps, all matters. Shouldn't school curricula include more specific instructions on the various kinds of taxes, as well as the impact of taxes on local, state, and federal economies. Generally, the public at learn is under educated on the American tax system.
