Of course, it's fair. Why wouldn't it be? Your argument is fatally flawed. It does not consider the myriad of other factors that might result in someone living in a small apartment with no electricity and water.

For example, an alcoholic that has never broken the law can still ruin his life and end up in a small apartment with no electricity and water. Is that fair?

If you are talking too me, noone ever said life was fair. I work hard for what I have and those who have nothing have no right to what I have. It's called life. If someone lives like you say that's their problem. They have the same opportunity to go out and make something of themselves as I did.

yes, but instead they desided to follow the law.it is obviosly completly and totally their fault that they didnt recieve collage education because their parents couldnt afford it. it is also obviosly their fault.(sarcasticly)

an acoholic made bad desisions in their life that may have caused them to become broke, depressed, or whateer tht caused them to become an acoholic. are they doing somthing wrong? yes. should we jude them entirly on that? no. i am not judging squeezbox for his mistake though i say he did somthing wrong. is it our job to care for people in horrible situations? no. but i would do it anywy and would go so far to say its our responsibilaty. some people in those situations work hard for what they have also, and look where they are. it is not my job to say what is fair and what isn't. i can tell you what i personally believe is fair and unfair. it may be an acoholics fault he lives in a small apartment, but i was refering to those who honestly work hard for a living. i was trying to make a point he has acheived his fabulous succes through illigle means while others work honestly and cant acheive the same. debating is obviosly not my strong point. i never claimed I was.

Public school in this state is free. ANYONE can then go to college if they finish hs. Can you say HOPE Scholarship? Pell Grant? Athletic Scholarship? Academic Scholarship? Quit making excuses about
poor parents who can't afford college. The majority of students in college are on assistance. They eat Ramen Noodles everyday. They also work. Go to college, get a job, keep a job. No excuses. If someone wants to go to college, there is a way.

I have plenty of friends that smoke marijuana that have graduated high school and college and are making a good living doing whatever they do.....We could all have this same exact conversation about alcohol and what it does to people and their families. Last time I checked nobody has beaten their kids beacause they just smoked weed. This country needs to get its priorities straight and focus on the good the people!

people smoke ( usually) because they're broke and depressed they try drugs one their hooked. so they keep spending money and when they first took it the high made them so happy and carfree. eventully it is nothing all that matters is taking it your brain develops tolerance to it so theres no more hapiness. they spend all there money on it and they're still broke and depressed. they'll do things they normally wouldnt just for the drug. last time you checked? when was that, watch the news than maybe you'll see.

Excuse me wrote:
How long are we going to continue waging wars that we cannot win?
I guess the Prohibition Era taught us nothing.
It's just plain insane. We allow tobacco and alcohol to be legal, despite the overwhelming evidence that they cause far more problems than marijuana. But, we will without hesitation throw unbelievable money and resources at fighting against marijuana and ruining the lives of everyone we bust - as well as those around them.
The father who gets busted for marijuana can't support his wife and kids from jail - so, WE end up supporting them on the welfare rolls, while supporting the father in jail. REAL smart, eh?
And, of course, when Dad gets out of jail, he can't find a job. Why? Because, he's an Ex convict! So, guess what? We get to continue supporting him on the welfare rolls, too!
Meanwhile, his kids become disenfranchised and bitter towards the society that took their father away from them. Yeah, they're going to be real winners!
Also meanwhile, the money we're flushing down the toilet waging unwinable wars isn't being spent on things, like Universal Healthcare. So, the healthcare system gets to legally rob us of everything we ever earned in our entire lives - just because we got sick or injured.
And, the only winners are the ones who sell us the weapons to wage our unwinable wars and the insurance companies that we would not need, if our money were being spent for our benefit, instead.
It's time for a change - of leadership, from top to bottom.

Amen! And it is grows in mother nature's ground, God's Earth. Why would God create pot and have it grow in his earth if it is so bad? There is so much you can do with hemp. It is teaching of false information for ones gain and it is the peoples ignorance and laziness for following and not questioning this information. Our leaders authority figures and or government should be questioned all the time and accountable. We the people need to start at the beginning.....Read our CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES! Lets get back to basics and make a difference!
