Perhaps no one watched this year's NFL draft more closely than Marcus Dixon. Saturday and Sunday came and went, and his name was never called.

It is good to see that Marcus Dixon has gone on to do well with his life despite spending fifteen months in prison. I hope that he does well with the Cowboys. And maybe one day when he is written about as an outstanding ballplayer no references will be made to him relating to the accusations and the prison time. So glad to see him do well. So glad that Hampton gave him a chance. Hopefully, he learned from the misfortune and the good fortune.

Way to go Marcus. Congrats on being picked by the Cowboys. You are a fine example for others to follow.
Here is a role model that others should follow. How to turn your life around in the face of adverisity

Congratulations to Marcus! I have been logging onto the computer all weekend waiting to see which team was smart enough to bring Marcus on. What a testimony this man has for such a young physical age and what a leader he will be.

Good for Marcus and I hope the rest of his life plays like a remarkably good storybook! He deserves it the way society treated him a few years ago!

He's still a long, long way from making the team, folks. He was only put under short-term contract to attend mini-camp. Don't anoint him as an NFL superstar yet - there's probably 20 players trying for 2 spots.

The Cowboys are very, very strong at defensive line. It's gonna be tough for him.

Best of luck to him.

I wish you the very best and pray that you get the deserving spot on the NFL. You have worked very hard from adversity and I think you will prevail. Just go out there and show everyone how hard work pays off and you will be on the team. Good luck, Georgians are rooting for you to make the team.

I'm happy to see that MArcus still has a chance to make it in the NFL after the problems he experienced her in Ga. May GOD continue to bless you and those who support you.

Your prays along with thousands were answered. Now go out there and prove them wrong and keep GOD in your life. Put your home town on the map like Dieon Branch did for our city of Albany, GA. Stay humble and you will go along way in life.

This is a great story - worthy of a tv mini series. This is something that should be lifted up and talked about by all. Marcus much love to you and your family. Keep doing what your doing. This is coming from a big Steeler fan so not happy with your team but i am very happy for you.

Thank God the "Good Ole Boys" lost this one. This is one white woman who says "Way to go Marcus". He should never have been arrested to begin with, much less gone to prison and when it became public, the assholes who put him there wouldn't even correct their obvious mistake. I and everyone else wish him only the best. I've never liked the Dallas Cowboys, but today they became my favorite team!!
