He may have deserved that in your opinion. His family DOES NOT deserve to see this trash talk about Vince he just died. I have known this family for many years and yes they have had their share of trouble with the law and people. But not all in their family are bad. Vince's dad is a very kind man and I feel for him and Vince's children. Have a heart for them at least. Thank you.

Anybody who walked the accident scene can see that Vince either had a heart attack or suffered a stroke prior to the bike going off of the road. For "authorities" to say alcohol is a factor prior to the investigation being complete is out of line. But being as podunk as this town is, the "authorities" will just blame it on alcohol and speed without acknowledging the scene and the injuries to Vince do not support that theory alone.

Did the man smell like alcohol? Hmm, seems alcohol was a "factor." If they didn't say alcohol was at "fault" then they are just stating that alcohol played a role. Our "authorities" have to save a lot of the worthless a**es in this podunk town on a regular basis. You should be thanking them. This individual made his bed....I am very sorry that his family is suffering for his poor choices. Also, just curious what did you see that supported your belief that he suffered a heart attack or a stroke? What exactly could those signs be? Just curious.

kalispell lady...

I hope you read this... You asked, "Did the man smell like alcohol? Hmm, seems alcohol was a 'factor.'"

Well, smart*ss... people who suffer a diabetic emergency smell like ETOH, Ethyl Alcohol, which is what you also smell on someone who has been drinking. Diabetics also display the same behavior as a drunk during a diabetic emergency... Did Rusty have diabetes? Do you know? Did the officer who spoke out of line know? Did Rusty know? Whole lotta unknowns which is why there are investigations...

So no, the authorities cannot say for sure without completing the investigation, including an autopsy and toxicology, that alcohol was a factor. So yes, they were out of line for saying that alcohol is a factor before knowing for sure. What's the problem with saying "the accident is under investigation" and leaving it at that? Would stop stupid people like you from making off the cuff judgment calls.

Next you wrote, "Our 'authorities' have to save a lot of worthless *sses in the podunk town... you should be thanking them."

Well friend, not all cops are good, not all cops are thorough, they all make mistakes a time or two and many, many cops are lazy. I do appreciate what they do but if you want to give any and all humans with a badge unquestioned authority in their decision making when it comes to them doing an investigation for you, or against you... you are none too bright.

Finally, you wanted to know what I saw at the scene...

Ask the family... it's been discussed and walked through with them... if you are close enough to them, then they can tell you... if not.. it's none of your business anyway.

I could add to that but I won't. Let him rest in peace and let his family get on with their lives. He was my friend but I learned not to get too involved.'Nuff said.
