A blood sample also has been sent to the state crime lab so toxicologists there can independently test Barkus' blood-alcohol level.
Corrigan said this week that investigators believe Barkus had been drinking the night of the crash.

"If" he was drunk and driving he should be charged with the crime. Any normal person would be charged and made to do time, probation or community service. I have meet this man several times and is very nice BUT you have to be responsible for your actions.
This accident has caused a young man a severe brain injury that he may not recover from, I hope and pray that he does. He was an innocent bystander they all were expect the driver "if" he was drunk.
If your going to drink and party PLEASE be responsible to have a DD and stick to it. Be the stand up person and take keys away or call someone.
IMO, I do think he was over the legal limit and crashed because of it. He could have killed them all and thank god there was a slope to the hill and not a cliff face, surely they would have all died .

This guy is no different than the rest of us...puts his pants on one leg at a time. He should be treated as any other repeat offender and if it costs him his job.......like it has cost others their jobs....so be it. He should be charged with the crime and do the time. Just like Joe Blow would be.
