Wrongfully Arrested

United States

I'm going to start this with saying that yes years ago I was on drugs extremely bad. I've been clean for three years now. I took a friend to McDonald's thinking that I could just take him to the restaurant and then return home. I didn't know about the container he had hid in my vehicle before he went into the restaurant. A certain officer had me out in the parking lot of a extremely busy restaurant checking my arms and up my nose like I was nothing more that a scum bag criminal. He asked if I'd submit to a drug test and I agree immediately, but he took me to jail instead. Upon arriving at the jail he was very rude to me. He told me if I had anything on me that I needed to tell him now and he said he'd check his car to see if I left anything in it. I sat in the cell seven long hours before being released. I have medical problems and had a stroke almost 2 years ago and was past due for my blood pressure medicine. Seven hours is a long time when you haven't done anything wrong. I have worked hard the past three years to improve my way of life. The humiliation that I suffered that day is unforgivable and if I could find an attorney that would take this case I'd sue. The morale of my story is to never drive anyone to McDonald's. Fentress County needs officers that can do their jobs and not harass innocent people because of past mistakes. I left the county because the place has a way of dragging you down if you have made mistakes in life.

Your right. And if you mess up one time they label you for life. I wasn't exactly an angel a few years back, but I made a lot of wonderful changes and I'm proud to say I'm free and clean. They need to work on their systems better. I guess if I had rejected the drug test he would have taken me to get one on the spot, but I was totally honest. Oh well, those seven hours are gone and I won't be taking "friends" anywhere from now on.

Was the law officer waiting for you at MacDonalds or just happen to be there and recognized you.Or maybe your rider set you up by leaving the contraband in your auto.If there was illegal substance in your auto and you allowed the offcer to search it without a warrant ,then you are up the well known creek without a paddle ,would be my opinion and you probably should stay out of Fentress County, remember your past is always before you.
