People's priorities are a little confused it seems. Why not use the money that could repair that dilapidated building and use it to update the current buildings? Those science labs need some updating and new equipment. Get a band program back. There are better ways to use $5 million dollars than on the old building.

I'd try to focus more on keeping kids in school and interested in school than trying to keep the old building for historical preservation purposes.

"Get a band program back..."
Wow. The previous young band teacher is another story they won't talk about, because they buried it well.

it really needs to go it puts all everyone around it in danger. alvin will be remembered for a lot more than just that old yai building. I think we should tear it down and build one back just like it...

This school needs to be demolished because it is making the kids sick with the mold and all dead bodies and stuff in there. Its making them really sick(hence me for one). It needs to be torn down, fentress county doesn't have the money. Its not worth saving, We still have the REST of the school anyway to remember. WE DON'T EVEN USE THE BUILDING O_O

Ok, the building is locked and fenced in so since it hasn't been distrubed how is it affecting your health? Unless you stick your head thru a window after you cling the 8ft fence it shouldn't effect you. I also want to mention that the moran that built the new school so close is to blame for this problem. There is trees, dirt, and plaster on the bottom floor which came from the roof because they let the roof get in such bad shape before anyone tried to do something, there wasn't any dead bodies in the building so if you are going to comment make sure your are accurate. If it hadn't been for folks like Alvin York this young lady wouldn't have the ability to voice her opinion, I think the building should be saved if at all possible. It has steel I-beams between the first and second floor and the only thing I see happening is that the second floor might cave in on the first floor if something isn't done. I don't believe the building is in danger of collasping and it isn't leaning 25 degrees. If it hadn't been for Alvin York this girl might not even have a school to attend its like they say no good deed goes unpunished. Show some respect and honor for such a great mad. Bev
