Fentress county can run both schools if they play their cards right. There are a lot of counties that have two or more high schools. We just have to work together. Some might have to take a cut in pay, but I rather have a cut in my pay then to not have a job at all.

I am worried about my high school students. How is the county with a 30% umemployment rate going to come up with enough money for a school for our kids. I read the paper and see that even when we pay our taxes we still will not have enough money to run our school and even if the school systems combine no one school will be big enough to house all the high school students at york. Yes I am a very worried parent and see all these other schools such as pall mall, grimsley, and west fentress all closed up and not being used for many years. Is this what my other children have to look forward to in the future.
Also why are they sending out class schedules for next year. I have to register my student april 21 for fall classes. This is giving all the parents hope that the school will stay open. If you lived in a bigger city they would raise taxes to accomodate. I know that my taxes seem quite low. If you also raise the taxes some of the bigger farms that are barely making it will end up having to sell. Anyone know where the school will go from here. I am really concerned about fentress counties future.
